Abstract:
Objective:To explore the effect of family empowerment combined with individualized nursing intervention based on Hawthorne effect theory on the coping style and psychological resilience of caregivers for children with strabismus. Methods:From January 2020 to December 2021, convenience sampling was used to select the parents of 100 long-term strabismus children with surgery and their parents in the Peking University Third Hospital as the study subject. The parents were divided into a research group 50 children and their parents and a control group 50 children and their parents according to the random number table method. The control group received routine family empowerment intervention, while the research group received family empowerment combined with individualized nursing intervention based on Hawthorne effect theory. The scores of the Coping Health Inventory for Parents (CHIP) and the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC) were compared between the two groups before and after three months the intervention. Results:After three months of intervention, the CHIP scores and CD-RISC scores of parents in the research group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistical ( P<0.05) . Conclusions:Family empowerment combined with individualized nursing intervention based on Hawthorne effect theory can promote parents of children with strabismus to adopt positive coping styles to handle care problems and improve their psychological resilience.
