Abstract:
With the progress of social aging, the number of elderly patients undergoing major abdominal surgery is increasing year by year. Poor physical function and the influence of related factors such as surgery and anesthesia aggravate the impact of surgery on the cardiopulmonary function of elderly patients. As a comprehensive intervention based on comprehensive evaluation of patients, pulmonary rehabilitation has the benefits of improving cardiopulmonary function and exercise tolerance, so it is of great significance to carry out pulmonary rehabilitation for elderly patients with major abdominal surgery. This article reviews the development history of pulmonary rehabilitation and its application value and related strategies in elderly patients with major abdominal surgery, in order to provide a reference for the application, development and clinical practice of pulmonary rehabilitation in the perioperative period of elderly patients with major abdominal surgery.
