Abstract:
Objective Comprehensive geriatric assessment(CGA)was used to intervene in geriatric frailty patients,to provide a reference for developing intervention measures for geriatric patients. Methods A total of 157 elderly patients admitted to the Second De-partment of Comprehensive Internal Medicine,People's Hospital of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region between January 2020 and Decem-ber 2020 were selected as research subjects, and they were randomly divided into experimental group(n=79)and control group(n=78).Patients in the control group received conventional treatment, while patients in the experimental group received comprehensive inter-vention measures based on the control group. After a 12-month follow-up period, clinical indicators, economic indicators, patient satis-faction,and mortality rate were assessed. Results Following the 12-month intervention period, both daily living ability score and nutri-tional score significantly improved in the experimental group compared to the control group(P<0.05).Additionally,frailty scores were lower in the experimental group than that in the control group. The number of patients experiencing chronic pain and depression was signif-icantly reduced in the experimental group compared to the control group. Moreover, more patients in the experimental group reported good sleep quality compared to the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Compared with the control group, the number of outpatient visits within one year was increased in the experimental group, the cost of outpatient visits within one year was de-creased,readmission rate within one year were reduced.and the satisfaction of patients was also significantly increased.the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Comprehensive intervention for geriatric frailty patients based on CGA can improve the quality of life of geriatric frailty patients after one year.
