Abstract:
Objective:To explore the effect of health education based on symptom management strategies on the self-care behavior and quality of life of patients with chronic heart failure.Methods:From May 2019 to May 2020, the convenience sampling method was used to select 300 patients with chronic heart failure admitted to Fuwai Central China Cardiovascular Hospital as the research objects. According to the random number table method, patients were divided into control group and observation group, each with 150 cases. Control group was given regular health education, and observation group applied health education based on symptom management strategies on the basis of control group. Before and after intervention, the Exercise of Self-care Agency Scale (ESCA) and the Minnesota Living with Heart Failure Questionnaire (MLHFQ) were used to compare the effects of the intervention.Results:Three months after discharge, the total ESCA score, and the MLHFQ total score and each dimension score of patients in observation group were higher than those of control group, and the differences were statistically significant ( P<0.05) . Conclusions:Health education based on symptom management strategies can improve the self-care ability and quality of life of patients with chronic heart failure.
