Abstract:
Pulsed field ablation (PFA) is a non-thermal physical ablation technique that offers unique advantages in tumor treatment. Although PFA has been approved by the Food and Drug Administration and the National Medical Products Administration of the USA and China for tumor treatment, and included in the clinical guidelines for pancreatic cancer by the Chinese Society of Clinical Oncology, it still faces challenges in clinical oncology practice. This article systematically reviews the research progress on pulse generation devices applicable to tumor ablation, optimization of PFA electrodes and ablation operation, clinical efficacy and current research state of PFA in treating pancreatic cancer. Additionally, it proposes directions for future studies on PFA technology in tumor treatment, aiming to promote its clinical application in pancreatic cancer and other refractory tumors.
