Abstract:
As the most important cause of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases,atherosclerosis is accompanied by the pyroptosis of endothelial cells,macrophages and other cells,the migration of vascular smooth muscle cells and the generation of oxidative stress in the process of its occurrence and development.And therapeutic effects of flavonoids in cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases have been confirmed by a lot of researches.The purpose of this article is to summarize protective mechanism of flavonoids in atherosclerosis,then provide new ideas for pre-vention and treatment of atherosclerosis.
