Abstract:
? Objective? To explore the influencing factors of burden on primary caregivers of children patients with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) during the maintenance period. Methods? Totally 86 caregivers of children patients with ALL during the maintenance period who were admitted in Beijing Children's Hospital from October 2015 to October 2016 were selected using convenient sampling and investigated with the general information questionnaire and Caregiver Burden Inventory (CBI). Totally 86 questionnaires were distributed, and 80 valid questionnaires were collected. Results? The score of CBI on the 80 primary caregivers of children patients with ALL during the maintenance period was (47.22±13.71), ranging from 14 to 81. Multiple regression analysis showed that degree of risk and payment method were the main influencing factors of caregiver burden (P＜0.05). Conclusions? The burden on primary caregivers of children patients with ALL during the maintenance period is heavy, and degree of risk and payment method were the main influencing factors of caregiver burden. Medical workers should pay attention to the burden on primary caregivers of children patients with ALL during the maintenance period and provide psychological and social support to them properly to improve their response level.
