Abstract:
Breast milk is the best source of enteral nutrition for preterm infants, but due to various reasons, the rate of breastfeeding in premature infants is not high. Compared with formula milk for preterm infants, donated breast milk, as the preferred alternative for mother's milk deficiency, has more significant advantages. This paper tries to summarize the concept and history of breast milk bank as well as the current status, methods and effects of breast milk donation in the treatment of premature infants.
