Abstract:
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease is characterized by progressive and partially reversible airflow restriction,and is a preventable and treatable respiratory disease.More and more attention has been paid to its complications,including osteoporosis,cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases,metabolic syndrome,dia-betes,anxiety,depression,etc.Osteoporosis,as the main extrapulmonary complication of chronic obstructive pul-monary disease,seriously threatens the physical and mental health of patients.There are many causes of secondary osteoporosis in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease,including hypoxia,malnutrition,decreased weight and exer-cise ability,glucocorticoids use,smoking,etc.This article reviews the causes and treatment methods of secondary osteoporosis in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease,aiming to provide theoretical basis for the prevention and treatment of secondary osteoporosis in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
