Results 6 months after intervention , the SAS and GDS score of patients in the control group increased from (53.85±5.659) and (14.56±3.9310) to (56.83±6.245) and (18.44±4.219), and their emotional state was significantly worse ( P<0.05) .The SAS and GDS score of patients in the intervention group dropped from (54.44± 5.496) and (14.29±3.593) to (49.93±5.303) and (10.17±2.999), and their emotional state was significantly better (P<0.05).After intervention, the MMSE scores of patients in two groups were (28.44±2.793) and (28.93±2.849) (P>0.05), while their MoCA scores were (24.90±2.095) and (26.20±1.939) (P<0.05). Conclusions The occupation recreational therapy plays an important role in improving the elderly bedridden patients′emotional state and protecting their cognitive function .
