Abstract:
Objective To know the cognitive status of patients′ family members about the related factors of workplace violence (WPV), and provide evidences for the reduction and intervention of violence. Methods Family members of 285 patients in a tertiary hospital were investigated about their cognition to WPV by using related factors of workplace violence questionnaire (revised edition).Results The total score of patients′ family members on related factors of WPV was (87.32±26.38) points, and the average score of entries was (4.29±6.57) points. The average score of related factors from high to low were:nurses, family members of patients, hospitals and society.Conclusions With the prevalence of the workplace violence, we recommend that, patients and their families, hospitals, the medias and government departments should reduce the incidence of hospital workplace violence by various comprehensive interventions.
