Abstract:
Objective To study the effects of cluster nursing mode on the intellectual development and neurological function of premature infants. Methods Totally 80 cases of premature infants in our hospital that admitted from May 2013 to May 2015 were divided into the observation group and the control group randomly, with 40 cases in each group. Patients in the control group received routine nursing care, while patients in the observation group received cluster nursing care. The sleeping time, body mass, milk supply situation, intellectual development and neurological function were compared between two groups after nursing intervention. Results After the intervention, the sleeping time, body mass and milk supply situation in the observation group were better than that in the control group ( P<0.05);the intellectual development scores ( MDI and PDI) were better than that in the control group (P<0.05); the neurological function (learning ability, adaptive ability, body movement ability) were better than that in the control group (P<0.05).Conclusions Cluster nursing mode provides a good environment for the growth of premature infants, and it can effectively improve their intellectual development and neurological function.
