Abstract:
Objective To comprehend nurses′mastery of aspiration prevention knowledge,nursing work of aspiration prevention in 31 hospitals,committee members of Elderly and Stroke Nursing Committee in Guangzhou Nursing Association,so as to provide basis for hospital policies on regulating operation procedure of aspiration prevention.Methods A total of 1 320 nurses in 31 hospitals were surveyed by self-designed questionnaires about nursing knowledge of aspiration prevention.Results Average of total score of nurses′knowledge on aspiration was (1 2.35 ±4.49)points,being in an intermediate level.Influencing factors of the total score included departments they were from,education backgrounds and job titles (F =3.373,23.349, 1 2.707;P <0.01 ).Conclusions Nursing knowledge on aspiration prevention of clinical nurses from these hospitals still needs to be improved.It is really significant for nurses to improve their knowledge in aspiration prevention,so as to provide comprehensive nursing of aspiration prevention for patients.
