Abstract: Encapsulated papillary carcinoma(EPC)of the breast is a rare,low grade malignant tumor which is more common in postmenopausal women.The clinical manifestations of EPC are non-specific and easily confused with other benign breast tumors,leading to misdiagnosis and delayed diagnosis.There is currently no consensus on the diagnosis and treatment plan for EPC,and few clinical trials have been conducted on it.Therefore,this article reviews the diagnostic characteristics and therapeutic approaches of EPC.
