Abstract:
Objective To explore the effects of clinical pathway in new nurse training in cancer hospital. Methods A total of 20 new nurses in 2014 were included in intervention group and received the training of clinical pathway in cancer hospital. A total of 20 new nurses in 2013 as control group received the traditional manipulation skills training. The self-reported satisfaction, nurse manager satisfaction and patients′satisfaction were evaluated using a self-designed questionnaire at once after training and 1 month after training. Results After training, the scores of self-reported satisfaction in the intervention group and control group were (4. 43 ± 0. 25) and (4. 26 ± 0. 23). The scores of nurse manager′s satisfaction in the intervention group and control group were (4. 46 ± 0. 18) and (4. 35 ± 0. 19). The scores of patients′ satisfaction in the intervention group and control group were (4. 57 ± 0. 24) and (4. 31 ± 0. 24) (F=14. 71,16. 54, 6. 80; P<0. 05). Conclusions The application of clinical pathway in new nurse training in cancer hospital is a systematic and standardized training mode, which can improve the self-reported as well as nurse manager′s and patients′satisfaction.
