Abstract:
Fat emulsion injection is an important component of parenteral nutritional support therapy, providing the body with a more balanced supply of energy and essential fatty acids.Multi-oil lipid emulsions are fish oil-containing lipid emulsions suitable for pediatric use. They contain higher levels of vitamin E and lower levels of phytosterols,as well as increased amounts of eicosapentaenoic acid(EPA)and docosahexaenoic acid(DHA),contributing to stronger anti-inflammatory properties.Furthermore, their fatty acid profile closely resembles that of human breast milk, enabling them to provide more balanced and effective nutritional support for neonates. While multi-oil lipid emulsions have been widely used clinically, there are limited research reports on their application in neonates in China. This article reviews the progress of clinical research on the application of multi-oil lipid emulsions in neonatal nutritional support.
