Abstract:
Congenital cleft hand is a kind of rare congenital hand deformity. The characteristic of cleft hand deformities is central ray deficient, which is accompanied with syndactyly or narrowing adjacent border digits. The surgical indications are thumb dysfunction caused by narrow web space and cleft that seriously affect the appearance. We treated a child with atypical complex cleft hand. On the basis of following the classical principles and surgical methods, we designed and operated by two stages, which not only reconstructed the function of thumb, narrowed the cleft, but also reconstructed all five fingers.
