Abstract:
Buttock is an important element of body curve and a reflection of female attractiveness. Common surgical procedures of gluteal augmentation include prosthesis implantation, autologous fat grafting, hyaluronic acid injection, autologous flap transfer, et al. Precise preoperative evaluation, accurate operating procedures and proper postoperative management are extremely important for better result and patient satisfaction of the operation. The current review briefly summarizes two of the most common treatment options of gluteal augmentation and emphasizes the management of perioperative complications.
