Abstract:
Objective To explore the effect of ribavirin combined with xiyanping on the treatment of children with hand,foot and mouth disease and its influence on levels of IgA,IgM and IgG.Methods A total of 84 children with hand,foot and mouth disease were selected and randomly divided into observation group and control group,42 cases in each group.Control group was treated with ribavirin,while the observation group was treated with xiyanping on the basis of the control group.Clinical effect,the improved time and recovery time of clinical symptoms and signs,levels of IgA,IgM and IgG before and after the treatment,and adverse reactions were compared between two groups.Results The total effective rate was 92.86％ in the observation group,which was significantly higher than 76.19％ in the control group (P ＜ 0.05).In the observation group,time of body temperature recovery,time of rash disappearance,time of oral ulcer disappearance,and recovery time were significantly lower than the control group (P ＜ 0.05).After treatment,levels of IgA and IgG in the observation group were significantly higher than the control group (P ＜ 0.05).There were no significant differences in skin itching,skin rash and nausea between two groups (P ＞ 0.05).Conclusion Ribavirin combined with xiyanping is effective in the treatment of children with hand,foot and mouth disease,which can effectively improve the clinical symptoms and signs,shorten the healing time,and improve the levels of IgA and IgG.
