Abstract:
Contemporary Medicine and Confucian Thought consider that people need to pay attention to the many serious problems that exist in the so-called completely equal healthcare system established under the guidance of the ethical principle of equal opportunity.Confucian ethics may potentially solve these problems. The Confucian concept of benevolent governance supports the realization of people's right to health, but not at the highest level, rather at the"appropriate minimum"level, which aligns with the Confucian ethical idea of"differential love".On these foundations,China should establish a"family medical account"based on Confucian ethics that are family-oriented and family-friendly.This paper believes that the Chinese path to modernization of the medical system should fully absorb Confucian ethical thought, which aligns with the"global civilization initiative"proposed by China, reflects the characteristics and personality of China's medical system, and shows the"Chinese confidence"in the construction of the medical system.
