Abstract:
Objective To explore the effects of QCC on reducing unqualified rate of blood specimens before analysis in emergency department. Methods Theme of QCC activity was decided according to the collected data in emergency de-partment from January to June 2014. QCC team was established, activity plan was initiated, and unqualified reasons before analysis of blood specimens were investigated. All rectification methods were implemented, and implementation effects were monitored through data collection from July to December 2014. Results Unqualified rate of blood speci-mens before analysis in emergency department was reduced to 1.32‰, and the difference was statistically significant compared with that of 5.91‰ before QCC (P<0.05); satisfaction rate of patients and family increased from 78.00% to 91.00%. Conclusion Application of QCC is able to effectively reduce unqualified rate of blood specimens before analysis in emergency department,improve patients' satisfaction,as well as enhance nurses' capabilities to solve clinical prob-lems by QCC.
