Abstract: The introduction of the word "great obstetrics syndromes (GOS)" emphasizes the exploration of the etiology of obstetric diseases and the investigation of effective obstetric disease prevention and prediction strategies. Subsequently, disease prevention and treatment at an early stage becomes feasible, allowing intervention before the occurrence and progression of the condition. This approach enables the realization of precision medicine in obstetric diseases and enhances the diagnosis and treatment of obstetric complications. This paper summarizes the characteristics of GOS and the challenges it reveals to obstetrics. Its objective is to assist obstetricians in obtaining a comprehensive understanding of GOS, re-examining the nature and distinctiveness of obstetric diseases, and collaborating towards advancement in obstetrical medicine.
