Abstract: Coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)is highly infectious,severe and critically ill patients have high mortality and lack specific treatment,so it is urgent to find safe and effective treatment methods.Mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)have biologi-cal properties such as immune regulation,tissue repair,regeneration,migration and homing,antiviral and anti-inflammatory.At present,studies on use of MSCs in treatment of COVID-19 have been gradually carried out.This paper reviews pathogenesis of 2019 novel coronavirus(2019-nCoV),potential regulatory mechanisms and challenges of MSCs in treatment of COVID-19.
