Abstract:
"In 1990, Mongolia was transferred from the central planned economy to a free market economy, pharmaceutical sector, particularly in the retail pharmacy market developed rapidly. Ulaanbaatar Health Department operates in Mongolia more than 1,200 pharmacies, but 741 is located in Ulaanbaatar and the average number of people per pharmacy in the capital is 2,000. Nowadays, the retail pharmaceutical sector’s active operations depend on a very high level of competitiveness. Pharmaceutical Competitiveness is only determined by major social role for economic benefits but also increase quality medicines, products and services to the population values. External environmental / political, economic and etc.,/ pharmacy sustainable situation is to increase the sales of products and services, in the right way to expand the share of the market to competitors constantly studying and merge information technology, walk feet, and the measures needed to win others. Thus, to study accurate determination of the competitive ability of pharmacies, to increase the competitiveness this need has become the basis of the research. Research goal and objectives: To identify methodical recommendation to assess competitive advantages of the pharmacies and to increase competitiveness. Therefore, the following research objectives were set: 1. To determine competitiveness assessment card on the basis of primary and secondary sources of pharmacies competitive advantages. 2. To assess the competitiveness of the pharmacies of district Bayangol. 3. To develop methodical recommendation to increase the competitiveness of the pharmacy. Research tools Marketing research using primary and secondary data. Research targeted included 30 pharmacies in district Bayangol. The economic, statistical and mathematical methods, comparing method, social /customer satisfaction questionnaire, questionnaire to identify factors of choosing pharmacies from customers/ surveys and marketing (Michael Porter five forces model of competition and strategy group card and SWOT analysis, competitive assessment). The statistical analysis was performed using SPSS-20, Microsoft Word and Excel programs. Conclusion 1. The competitiveness of pharmacy determined on the basis of external and internal factors, primary and secondary sources. External factors were identified 3 groups: Organizational, marketing and service quality. Organizational group depends on the location, number of the pharmacist, merchandizing, number of unit, timetables, specific of pharmacy and type of activity. Marketing group include price and product activation. And quality of service includes service culture and environment. Internal factors affecting the competitiveness of pharmaceutical items a material includes hardware, manufacturing, human resources and finances. 2. A random sample of total 30 pharmacies in district Bayangol summarize reported satisfaction survey score points Competitiveness Survey card selected consumers. 3. The result has developed methodical recommendation to increase competitiveness of the pharmacies. "
