Giant condyloma acuminatum (also known as Buschke-Lowenstein tumor) is a rare disease, for which the treatment of choice is still controversial. In the case described in this report, we used a combination of electrocautery and a surgical scalpel to resect a huge genital wart, followed by long-term local treatment with podophyllin. This procedure was relatively fast, easy to perform, involved minimal bleeding, and did not result in any complications. Moreover, combination therapy enabled us to avoid deep resection of the lesion and consequently, sexual function was preserved completely.

We reported a case of epidermodysplasia verruciformis which occurred in a 15 year-old girl. She had an extensive eruption of plane warts on the face, neck, upper trunk, and extremities, especially on the dorsa of the hands and feet, with symmetrical diatribution. The skin lesions appeared initially on the forehead and gradually generalized. all over the body for 10 years duration. Skin biopsy showed hyperkeratosis with basket-weave pattern, thickened granular layer, vacuolization of many celIs in the upper stratum malpighii and the granular layer and acanthosis.

We present a case of epidermodysplasia verruciformis a.ssociated with Bowen's disease. Patient was 33 year-old male and his skin lesions showed diffuse flat papules on face and neck, many brownish papules on trunk and papillomatous tumors also appeared un scalp and post auricular area, Skin biopsy findings from the flat papular lesion showed histopathologic features of verruca plana and from the papillomatous lesion showed the feature of Bowen's disease. Electron microscopic finding from the flat papular lesion showed marked aggregates of viral particles around the nuclei of epidermal keratinocytes.

Epidermodysplasia vertuciformis (E.V.) is a generalized viral infection due to the wart virus, which is chacterized by wartlike papules often distributed over the entire body and generally starting in infancy, of which a high percetage develops into cancer. We present a case of E.V. in a 31 year old male with typical skin lesions resembling flat warts and tinea versicolor-like lesions that eventuated in malignancy, i.e., Bowens disease and squamous cell carcinoma on the forehead. The skin lesions appeared initially on the foerhead at the age of 6 and gradualIy generalized all over the whole bcdy thereafter. The light brown scaling papules on erythernatous hase and walnut sized ulcerative lesion on the forehead had been noticed for 4 to 6 years and identified as Bowens disease and squamous cell carcinoma.

Epidermodysplasia verruciformis(EV) is a rare, sometimes familial disorder characterized by chronic infection with EV-specific HPV types. It manifests itself as numerous flat warts, red and brownish macules, and pityriasis versicolor-like lesions. Immunodeficient staies such as AIDS renal transplantation, Hodgkins dis ase, and systemic lupus erythematosus, have been associated with EV. We report a case of a 42-year old female with EV, with lesions on the chest, shoulders, and back, For about the past 2, years, she had been treated with prednisolone for systemic lupus erythematosus. Histopathological findings revealed loose basket-weave-like hyperkeratosis and there were clear large cells arranged in nests in the granular and spinous layers. Their nuclei were shrunken and pyknotic, and the clear cytoplasm was dotted with dispersed keratohyaline granules of different sizes anr shapes. Electron microscopic findings showed aggregates of many viral particles in the nuclei of displastic epidermal keratinocytes. Pan papilloma virus monoclonal Antibody positive nuclei were shown by immunoperoxidase staining. She has been treated with CO, laser and Tretinoin(0.1% ) oin ment. The patient is being monitored for any signs of recurrence for a period of 5months.

We report two patients with relapsed urethral condyloma treated by interleukin-2(IL-2) instillation. The patients had undergone prior treatment of the urethral condyloma; however, all patients had recurrent disease within one year of the primary treatment. We performed repeated transurethral resection of the urethra. However, the mass was incompletely resected due to its multiplicity and concerns about urethral injury. After surgery, IL-2(18x106IU) mixed with 1.2ml of distilled water was equally divided into six units(3x106IU); 10ml of distilled water was mixed with each unit. The solution was then administered into the urethra. After 6 days of the IL-2 intraurethral treatment, no visible warts were noted. No recurrence has been observed in over 1 year of follow up.

Condyloma acuminatum is a manifestation of human papillomavirus (HPV) infection. The genital warts tend to occur in areas most directly affected by coitus, namely external genitalia, perineum and perianal areas. The warts are highly contagious; more than 75% of sexual partners develop when exposed. The warts frequently increase in number and size during pregnancy, sometimes filling the vagina or covering the perineum, making it difficult to perform vaginal delivery or episiotomy. Probably small number of infants and children born of women with genital warts will become infected and develop laryngeal papillomatosis. We have experienced one case of huge condyloma acuminatum during pregnancy and presented with a brief review of literature.
