1.Studies on the Resistance of seed of Ural Licorice(Glycyrrhiza uralensis)
Chinese Traditional and Herbal Drugs 1994;0(01):-
Several resistant characteristics of Glycyrrhiza uralensis seeds were studied. The results showed that hard seed can resist attack from fungi or bacteria. It can endure high temperature for 4h at 80℃ and 10 min at 100℃, but when at 100℃ for 1 h it loses its germinating power. The seeds stored for 4 years do not reduce viability. After long period storage for 13 years, about 60% of the seed still retains its germinating power.

China Pharmacy 2017;28(14):1948-1951
OBJECTIVE:To observe the effectiveness and safety of different doses of rosuvastatin in the treatment of acute ce-rebral infarction. METHODS:Totally 120 patients with acute cerebral infarction were selected from Weifang Yidu Central Hospital during Jan. 2014-Dec. 2015,and then divided into observation group and control group according to admission order, with 60 cas-es in each group. Both groups received routine treatment as Shuxuening injection 10 mL,iv,1-2 times a day(or 20 mL added into 5% Glucose injection 250-500 mL,ivgtt,qd)+Aspirin enteric-coated tablets 0.1 g,po,qd. Control group and observation group were additionally given Rosuvastatin calcium tablets 10 mg and 20 mg,po,qd(after supper). Both groups were treated for 30 d. The levels of serum inflammatory factors(hs-CRP,TNF-α,IL-6),blood lipid indexes(TC,TG,LDL-C),neurological function and activity of daily life score were observed in 2 groups before and after treatment. The clinical efficacy and occurrence of ADR were recorded. RESULTS:Before treatment, there was no statistical significance in the levels of hs-CRP,TNF-α,IL-6,TC,TG and LDL-C,NIHSS scores and Barthel index (BI) scores between 2 groups (P>0.05). After treatment, the levels of hs-CRP, TNF-α,IL-6,TC,TG and LDL-C,NIHSS scores in 2 groups were decreased significantly, while BI scores were decreased signifi-cantly,observation group were significantly better than those of control group, with statistical significance (P<0.05). Total re-sponse rate of observation group (93.33%) was significantly higher than that of control group (86.67%),with statistical signifi-cance (P<0.05). The incidence of ADR in observation group (23.33%) was significantly higher than control group (6.67%), with statistical significance(P<0.05). CONCLUSIONS:Rosuvastatin can significantly reduce the inflammatory reaction and blood lipid level of patients with acute cerebral infarction, inhibit the formation of atherosclerotic plaque and improve prognosis. The large dose of rosuvastatin have better efficacy for acute cerebral infarction and can significantly improve the symptom of neurologi-cal deficits and daily living ability of patients.

OBJECTIVETo observe the therapeutic efficacy and safety of gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonist (GnRHa) combined Wenshen Xiaozheng Decoction (WXD) in auxiliary treating endometriosis after laparoscopy.
METHODSOne hundred and thirty-four endometriosis patients with confirmative pathological diagnosis were assigned to three groups depending on whether they would receive adjuvant therapy or Chinese medicine treatment, i.e., the control group, the observation 1 group, and the observation 2 group. The 22 patients in the control group received no adjuvant therapy after laparoscopy. The 42 patients in the observation 1 group were treated with GnRHa 3.6 mg by subcutaneous injection starting from the 1st day to the 5th day of menstruation, once per 28 days. The 70 patients in the observation 2 group were treated with GnRHa 3.6 mg by subcutaneous injection in combination with WXD starting from the 1st day to the 5th day of menstruation, once per 28 days. They also took WXD for 7 doses, one cycle per every 28 days. The treatment lasted for three to six months. Serum levels of estradiol (E2), follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), luteinizing hormone (LH), and cancer antigen 125 (CA125), as well as clinical efficacy, and adverse drug reactions were observed before and after treatment.
RESULTSThere was statistical difference in serum levels of E2, FSH, or LH between the control group and the observation 1 and 2 groups (P < 0.05). There was no statistical difference in serum levels of E2, FSH, or LH between the observation 1 group and the observation 2 group (P > 0.05). There was statistical difference in the clinical efficiency among the 3 groups (P < 0.05). There was statistical difference in the pre-post difference of CA125 levels among the three groups (P < 0.01). Compared with the control group, there was no statistical difference in the pre-post difference of CA125 levels between the observation 1 group and the observation 2 group (P > 0.05). No obvious adverse reaction occurred during the treatment.
CONCLUSIONSGnRHa combined WXD showed confirmative clinical efficacy in treating endometriosis after laparoscopy. It also could lower serum levels of E2, FSH, and LH levels. So it was an ideal solution for treatment of endometriosis.

AIM:To explore relationship between the normal strehl ratio ( SR ) values of total aberrations/SR values of total higher-order aberrations and modulation transfer function ( MTF ) at total corneal at different pupil diameters in normal population.
METHODS: To exam the SR values of total aberrations and SR values of total higher-order aberrations of total corneals in 200 people ( 400 eyes ) using SIRIUS 3D topography system and analysis the corresponding root-mean-square ( RMS) .
RESULTS: The subjects with different pupil diameters (3. 0, 5. 0, 6. 0, 7. 0mm)'s exam results of total corneal were as following:SR value of total aberrations 100’(0. 45±0. 12), (0. 25±0. 06), (0. 17±0. 05), (0. 13±0. 04); SR value of total higher order ab cerrations 100’(0. 69±0. 14), (0. 34±0. 07), (0. 24±0. 05), (0. 16±0. 04);SR value of total aberrations 200’(0. 45±0. 12), (0. 24±0. 06), (0. 20±0. 04), (0. 16±0. 03); SR value of total higher order aberrations 200’(0.70±0. 13), (0. 35±0. 07), (0. 27±0. 06), (0. 20±0.04 ) . The SR values of each group decreases with the increases of pupil diameters. The SR values of total aberrations and SR values of total higher - order aberrations at total corneals are negatively correlated with corresponding RMS value. When the pupil diameter is small, the SR value of total aberrations is more related to higher frequency region of MTF. When the pupil diameter is big, the SR value of total aberrations is more related to lower frequency region of MTF.
CONCLUSION: The visual performance of normal people can be well reflected by SR values of total aberrations and SR values of total higher - order aberrations at total corneal.

Objective To discuss the imaging technology and characteristic of perfusion-weighted imaging in rabbit models of hepatic VX2 tumors. Methods Twenty-eight New Zealand rabbits were implanted in liver with VX2 tumor by tissue block. After routine scans were performed on 1.5 T MR scanner, 28 New Zealand white rabbits with VX2 carcinoma were divided randomly into treatment group and control group. Treatment group was divided randomly into group A, group B and group C, 7 animals per group. Perfusion weighted imaging(PWI) was performed in day 14, 25 and 35, respectively, after tumor implantation in all animals. Select the regions of interest (ROI) of the VX2 tumor center, tumor border and pars-tumor parenchyma. Maximal signal reduction slope ( SRSmax ) of the signal intensity versus time curves were created as quantitative variable, and the parameters were calculated and compared in all groups. Results Maximal signal reduction slope ( SRSmax ) of the signal intensity versus time curves were studied in 4 groups, 23 VX2 rabbits,7,5 and 6 in group A , B and C, respectively. The SRSmax of tumor center were ( 12. 6 ± 3.4), ( 9. 8 ± 2. 6 ) and ( 1.0 ± 0. 4 ), the difference was significant ( F = 10. 855, P < 0. 05 ). The SRSmax of tumor border were(48. 3 ± 2.4), (46. 2 ± 1.5 ) and (43. 6 ± 1.8 ) ( P > 0. 05 ). The SRSmax of para-tumor parenchyma were ( 14.4 ± 3.0 ), ( 12. 2 ± 1. 4 ) and ( 14. 8 ± 5.0 ) ( P > 0. 05 ). The difference was significant in different ROI in treatment groups( F value was 7. 435,8. 625 and 12. 595, respectively, P < 0. 05 ). Conclusion PWI can be used in evaluating the liver tumor angiogenesis and angio-degeneration with the treatment of HIFU. It will be possible for qualitative analysis of rabbit models of hepatic VX2 tumors by different treatments.

OBJECTIVETo investigate and clarify the key surgical techniques and evaluate clinical effectiveness of modular cementless femoral stems(LINK MP modular stem) in complex revision hip arthroplasty.
METHODSFrom January 2002 to December 2013, 470 patients in Chinese PLA General Hospital received revision hip arthroplasties using MP stems. Among them, 246 patients were followed for an average of 5.7 years (ranged, 0.5 to 11 years). There were 148 males and 98 females, with an average age of 62.5 years old (ranged from 26 to 83 years old). The most common reason for revision was aseptic loosening of femoral stems (107 cases, 43.5%), followed by prosthetic joint infection (104 cases, 42.3%). Other reasons included unexplained hip or thigh pain, periprosthetic femoral fracture, prosthesis wear and dislocation. According to Paprosky classification of femoral deficiency, there were 171 cases of type IIIA (69.5%), 14 cases of type I, 39 cases of type II, and 22 cases of type IIIB. The average preoperative Harris hip score (HHS) was 37.4 ± 7.5. In addition, radiographic presentation, degree of patients' subjective satisfaction, and clinical effectiveness were assessed as well.
RESULTSThe average Harris score was im- proved to 87.8 ± 4.2 after operation, with significant statistical difference when compared to preoperative score (t = 92.13,P = 0.00). Analysis of patients' subjective satisfaction for leg length discrepancy, stability and overall degree of satisfaction showed that the number of patients with great satisfaction were 27, 60, 61 respectively. The most common complication was the periprosthetic fracture (intraoperatively 21 cases and postoperatively 8 cases). Other complications included infection (7 cases), dislocation (5 cases), numbness possibly caused by incomplete sciatic nerve injury (6 cases) and thigh swelling (3 cases). The X-ray taken at the final follow-up revealed that prosthesis subsidence occurred in 4 cases, 2 of which needed a second revision.
CONCLUSIONThe application of modular cementless femoral stems (LINK MP modular stem) in complex revision hip arthroplasty (especially in cases with the serious defect of proximal femoral bone) shows good results at both the short-term and long-term follow-up, especially in the revision for prosthetic infection with the high success rate. In order to avoid complications and improve clinical outcomes, the surgeons should carefully select proper surgery candidates, perform the procedure with care, and master the key surgical techniques.
