Objective To study the liver damage induced by platelet activating factor (PAF) and the protective effects of the PAF antagonist WEB2170. Methods Experiments in vivo: after the administration of PAF to induce liver damage in rats, serum levels of aspartate transaminase (AST), alanine transaminase (ALT), lactic dehydrogenase (LDH) and tissue malonyldialdehyde (MDA) were determined by biochemical method, the succinate dehydrogenase (SDH) activity in mitochondrion was assessed by histochemical method, and the morphologic changes in hepatic structure were observed. In the treatment group, WEB2170 was used for intervention. Objective To study the esthetic indexes of soft tissue profile in lateral face in Anhui youths with normal occlusion. Methods The study was carried out by taking the cephalometric photographs in the 102 Anhui youths with normal occlusion. The data of measurement were got from the photographs by image database and analysis system (IDAS) software, and statistically evaluated by SPSS software. Some specially selected items were analysed again by Fisher's discriminant method. Results Seven items, i.e. Li Ns Pos, Ls Ns Pos, Ls B, Li B, Sn H, Bs Li FH and Z angle, were chosen as esthetic indexes of facial profile, and the discriminant functional formula was established. Conclusion Combination of all the above 7 items contribute to the beauty of facial profile.

?Pterygium is one of the most common ocular surface diseases. Its exact etiology and pathogenesis are not completely understood. At present, it is considered that its occurrence and development is the result of many factors. Current studies have indicated that the occurrence of pterygium is closely related to the environmental factors. Long time exposure to sunlight, dust, pollen and other long - term chronic stimulation are the main incentive factors. Various factors have caused limbal barrier dysfunction, induced the level of a variety of growth factors and inflammatory factors increased, so that the conjunctival tissue degenerate and proliferate to the cornea in the formation of pterygium. In this paper, the research progress of the pathogenesis of pterygium is reviewed.

Objective To observe the effect of multiple interventions on secondary epilepsy patients.Methods 114 secondary epilepsy patients were randomly divided into the intervention group and control group with 57 cases in each group.The cases in the intervention group received multiple interventions including heath education,psychological treatment,safety nursing,overdose administration,early rehabilitation,discharge guide and so on besides usual nursing.While,the cases in the control group received usual nursing.The follow-up was performed for 6 months and the therapeutic efficacy of two groups was compared.Results After multiple interventions,the seizure frequency and trauma incidence rate decreased,compliance and quality of life increased in patients of the intervention group,and there was a significant difference compared with the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Multiple interventions can decrease seizure frequency and increase compliance of treatment and quality of life of secondary epilepsy patients.

Objective:To investigate the effects of Nano-chitosan rhBMP-2 Gel(NCS/BMP-2 Gel)on the repair of mandibular de-fect.Methods:NCS/BMP-2 Gel and NCS Gel were prepared and respectively injected into the subcutaneous space on both sides of dorsum of 9 rats.3 rats were respectively sacrificed 10,20 and 30 d after injection.The subcutaneous nodules were histologicaly ex-amined.Mandibular defect was made in 54 SD rats and the rats were divided randomly and into 3 groups(n=18):NCS/BMP-2 Gel was implanted into the defects in group 1,NCS Gel in group 2,no injection in group 3.Animals were sacrificed 3,6 and 9 weeks after transplantation.X-ray examination,pathologic observation were conducted.Results:Subcutaneous nodules were found in both sides of the rat dorsum.The residual mandibular defect area in study group 1 was apparently smaller than that in group 2 and 3(P<0.05). More new bone formation was observed in the gel injected area in group 1 than in group 2 and 3.Conclusion:Nano-CS/BMP-2 Gel is biocompatible and can accelerate the healing of mandibular defect.

Objective To investigate the relationship between anti-HCV antibody level and hepatitis C virus genotype in the patients.Methods Total of 603 anti-HCV positive serum samples were collected during 2013 to 2014 by retrospective research method.HCV RNA were detected in anti-HCV positive samples by repeat test and the genotype were detected in HCV RNA positive samples.The distribution of anti-HCV level in different hepatitis C genotype patients was analyzed and the body's response to viral antibodies and viral genotype correlation with anti-HCV concentration interquartile range was explored.Rates among genotype groups were compared using chi-square test.Results Totally 412 of 603 (68.33％) samples were anti-HCV positive by double reagent screening.174(42.3％) samples were detected as HCV RNA positive.The distributions of different anti-HCV level in different genotype patients were 1a(n =8) 1/8,1/8,4/8,2/8;1b(n =112)25.9％ (29/112),17.0％ (19/112),25.9％ (29/112),31.3％ (35/112);2a(n =14)3/14,4/14,5/14,2/14;3a(n =11)3/11,6/11,2/11,0/11;3b(n =16)4/16,11/16,1/16,0/16;6a(n =8)2/8,2/8,1/8,3/8 with anti-HCV concentration interquartile range respectively.The anti-HCV concentration distribution was different in patients with different HCV genotypes.The anti-HCV concentration distribution in patients of 1 b,2a and 6a genotypes were evently,while anti-HCV level was relatively high in 1a (13.65) and relatively low in 3b (8.77).There were differences in different genotypes of antibody concentrations (x2 =35.2,P ＜ 0.05).Conclusions There was correlation between anti-HCV level and HCV genotype.Because there were fewer cases in some genotypes,it was necessary to investigate more samples to corfirm the above results.

AIM: To investigate the possibility of 3T3 fibroblast growth on blood fibrin clot in culture medium with recombinant human basic fibroblast growth factor (rhbFGF). METHOD: Growth of the cells on blood fibrin clot was studied by phase-contrast, scanning and transmission electron microscopy and by Giemsa stain and MTT assay. RESULTS: The optimal concentration of rhbFGF for proliferation and survival of the cells was 100 ng/mL. The cells also grew on blood fibrin clot scaffold in the low-serum medium containing 100 ng/mL rhbFGF, and a greater number of the cells survived after 48 hours incubation compared to that after 24 hours. The elongated filopodia appeared to bridge the gaps among the fibroblasts after 24 hours incubation. Further incubation to 72 hours, a greater number of platycytes were found to be joined together by lamellopodia. CONCLUSION: 3T3 fibroblasts could grow and survive on blood fibrin clot in the low-serum medium containing rhbFGF, and a combination of blood fibrin clot and rhbFGF may have over proportional effects on wound healing.
