Objective To evaluate the impact of human papillomavirus(HPV)infection on the risk of HIV acquisition in the female group.Methods Searched PubMed,EMbase,Coehrane Library,CNKI,wanfang database and Chinese Biomedical Lit-erature Database etc for articles about HIV-acquisition in HPV infected female patients.The quality of the literature were e-valuated according to standards of inclusion and exclusion.Data was extracted and methodologically quality evaluated by two independent investigators.Meta-analysis was accomplished using RevMan4.2 software.Results 6 articles were included,all of them were randomized controlled trials,a total of 9 606 cases studied.HIV infection risk was doubled in women with any HPV infection(OR= 2.02,95% CI:1.48 ~ 2.77),demonstrating High-risk HPV-positive (OR= 2.50,95% CI:1.73 ~3.61)and low-risk HPV-positive (OR=2.10,95% CI:1.48~2.96)respectively.Funnel plot analysis revealed no signifi-cant publication bias on HPV genotypes.Conclusion The analysis of selected research suggests the risk of HIV infection was increased in HPV-positive women.HPV vaccine may have some preventive effect on HIV infection.

Objective: To explore the effects of multivitamin and mineral supplements on self-evaluation of mood and health status in healthy volunteers.Methods:149 healthy volunteers took multi-nutrient supplements or placeboes for 8 weeks, and self-evaluation of mood and health status was evaluated by Profile of Mood States and 36-item short-form health survey.Results:Self-comparing POMS scores, active group's scores of vigor were significantly increased, from 14.2? 4.6 to 15.5 ? 4.9(t=2.74,P37)were significantly improved. But the placebo group and young volunteers were not significantly improved. Conclusion: The intervention of multivitamin and mineral supplements can improve elderly healthy persons' mood and healthy status.

Objective To study the relationship between carotid artery atherosclerosis and serum C-reactive protein(CRP) in elderly patients with essential hypertension. Methods 100 hypertensive patients(mean age 73?7 years), including 93 males and 7 females were enrolled in this study. Colour Doppler ultrasonography was used to measure intima-media thickness(IMT) and atherosclerotic plaque of carotid arteries. Serum CRP was determined with immunological method. The relationship between the result of ultrasonography and CRP concentration was analyzed. Results CRP concentration was positively correlated with IMT(P

0.05).The CSFP before and after opening dura mater was obviously lower than the baseline value (P0.05).The total dose of propofol in group T was smaller than in group C.CONCLUSION:Target controlled infusion of propofol is better than continuous pump injection in lowering the ICP during neurological surgery.

Objective:To explore whether the mRNA expression of TNFRSF12 in peripheral blood leukocytes of SLE patients is abnormal and to determine whether the TNFRSF12 gene is susceptibility gene to SLE.Methods:The level of mRNA expression of TNFRSF12 in peripheral blood leukocytes was detected by TaqMan one-step RT-PCR method.Results:The mRNA expression pattern in SLE patients is different to that of normal control.The mRNA in SLE consists of 2 types of isoforms of TNFRSF12,encoding membrane bound glycoprotein and potentially secreted molecules respectively,whereas only the latter in normal control.After PHA treatment,the mRNA expression pattern in normal control becomes the same as that of SLE patients.Overall TNFRSF12 mRNA expression was significantly decreased in active SLE group and significantly increased in lupus nephritis group.Conclusion:The results indicated that TNFRSF12 may play a role in the pathogenesis of SLE and was susceptibility gene to SLE.

Background and purpose:The time from ifrst onset of symptoms or signs to a deifnitive diagnosis is deifned as diagnostic interval (DI). The relation of DI to other clinicopathological parameters andthe impact of DI on prognosis of patients with triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) remain unclear.This article plans to make an intensive study of these questions.Methods:The clinical records of a series of 83 consecutively presenting unselected patients referred to the Shanghai Sixth People’s Hospital with diagnosed TNBC between September 2009 and September 2015 were retrospectively reviewed. Clinical and pathological factors included were investigated by univariate analysis using the Kaplan-Meier method, the factors associated with prognosis were further evaluated by multivariable analysis with Cox progression model.t-test and Kruskal-Wallis test were used to study the correlation between DI and other characters.Results:DI: stage T3>T1 (P=0.01), stageⅢ>Ⅱ (P=0.03) andⅠ (P=0.01). Compared with patients of DI≥3 months, the <3 months group had earlier age (P=0.028) and TNM stage (P=0.035). T stage, N stage, neoadjuvant chemotherapy, TNM stage and DI are inlfuencing factors of overall survival (OS). Age, T stage, N stage, TNM stage, menstrual status and neoadjuvant chemotherapy are inlfuencing factors of progression-free survival (PFS). TNM staging is an independent inlfuencing factor for OS and PFS.Conclusion:Patients with later disease stage were more likely to have a longer DI; The shorter DI, the earlier age and stage of disease; DI is the inlfuence factor of OS; TNM stage is an independent inlfuencing factor for OS and PFS.

OBJECTIVE To understand the present situation of hand hygiene execution rate among clinical medical personnel,and discuss a series of scientific,reasonable and practical hand hygiene intervention methods,in order to elevate the hand hygiene execution rate among medical personnel.METHODS Using the self-designed questionoaires in combination with observation on hand hygiene process and investigation of hand hygiene knowledge level among medical personnel in various departments of different levels of hospitals to assess the hand hygiene execution rate.RESULTS The investigation indicated 76.00% medical personnel have had hand hygienic knowledge training,and referred in the stipulation health drafts,the hand hygiene execution rate was 50.00-70.00%.The hand health execution rate before contact with patients was 59.82%,and after contacts with patients was 77.97%;among department the hand hygiene execution rate before contact with patients was highest in the department of pediatrics(82.78%),the lowest was in emergency department(11.11%),after contact with patients the highest was department of infectiong(100.00%),and the larest was in the internal medicine department(39.93%).CONCLUSIONS Medical personnel's hand hygiene consciousness is still weak,with lacked hand hygiene related knowledge,it is necessary to summarize a set of reasonable effective intervention plans to elevate the hand hygiene execution rate,reduce the hospital infection percentage,and lower the patient pain and the economic loss.

Objective To evaluate the guiding effect of CT software to reduce the postoperative syndrome and surgery risk in patients with sinus disease performed the functional endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS). Methods Fifty patients of accessory sinus disease were scanned by spinal CT, and then three dimensions reconstruction made in workstation. Under center of ethmoid sinus ,the five groups of anatomy data measured were obtained , used to guide surgery and contrasted with result of no used to guide surgery in 68 patients in FESS. The data were performed the statistical management and compared with results of FESS. Results Under guided by five groups of anatomy data measured ,the postoperative syndrome was reduced by 16.0 percent; the curative effect went up by 15.0 percent; the pay for hospital was reduced 31.0 percent and the recurrence rate was reduced 8.6 percent. Conclusion Used the technic in FESS, the surgery risk, the recurrence rate and pay for hospital are reduced, but the curative effect go up. The technic is much adapt to be used in village and towns hospital where there aren′t navigation equipment.

Objective To investigate the effect of curcumin on tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α)-in-duced expression and release of monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 (MCP-1) in rat astrocytes.Methods The primary astrocytes were prepared from the cerebral cortex of 5 neonatal Sprague-Dawley rats and cultured.The cultured cells were identified by immunofluorescence staining with glial fibrillary acid protein.The cells were then divided into 6 groups (n =15 each):control group (group C),TNF-α group (group T),TNF-α+ different concentrations of curcumin groups (Cur5,Cur10 and Cur20 groups),and TNF-α+ solvent control group (D group).TNF-α with the final concentration of 20 ng/ml was added and the cells were incubated for 2h in T group.In Cur5,Cur10 and Cur20 groups,curcumin with the final concentrations of 5,10 and 20μmol/L was added,respectively,the cells were incubated for 24h and then the culture medium was abandoned,TNF-α with the final concentration of 20 ng/ml was added and the cells were then incubated for another 2h.In group D,dimethyl sulfoxide with the final concentration of 1 μl/ml was added,the cells were then incubated for 24h,then TNF-α with the final concentration of 20 ng/ml was added and the cells were incubated for another 2h.After treatment in each group,the expression of MCP-1 was determined by immunohistochemistry and the release of MCP-1 was determined by ELISA.Results Compared with group C,the expression and release of MCP-1 was significantly increased in the other five groups (P ＜ 0.05).Compared with group T,the expression and release of MCP-1 was significantly decreased in group Cur20 (P ＜ 0.05),and no significant changes in the expression and release of MCP-1 were found in Cur5,Cur10 and D groups (P ＞ 0.05).Compared with group Cur5,the expression and release of MCP1 was significantly decreased in group Cur20 (P ＜ 0.05),and no significant change in the expression and release of MCP-1 was found in group Cur10 (P ＞ 0.05).Conclusion Curcumin can inhibit TNF-α-induced expression and release of MCP-1 in rat astrocytes and the effect is dose-related and may be one of the mechanisms of curcumin-induced reduction of neurophathic pain.

AIM: To study the mRNA and protein expression of Kang ai1 (KAI1) tumor suppressor gene and to determine the relationship between KAI1 and invasiveness and metastasis of cervical cancer. METHODS: The expression of KAI1 metastasis suppressor was detected by immunohistochemistry in paraffin slides and by real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) in fresh tissue. The samples included 20 cases of normal cervical tissues, 20 cases of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) and 40 cases of cervical carcinoma. The results of the gene expression combined with the pathological and clinical data were also analyzed. RESULTS: The expression of KAI1 protein and mRNA was related to the tissue differentiation of cervix. The positive rates of KAI1 expression were the highest in the normal cervical tissue, the middle in CIN and the lowest in cervical carcinoma with significant difference among three groups (P<0.01). The expression of KAI1 protein was not related with the grade of CIN (P>0.05). However, both mRNA and protein expression of KAI1 were related to the differentiation and the clinical stages of cervical cancer (P<0.01) and also related to the metastasis of the cancer. The positive rates between the non-lymphatic metastasis and lymphatic metastasis (P<0.05) were significant different. Cox regression and logistic regression showed that the tissue differentiation, clinical stages, lymphatic metastasis and expression of KAI1 were all related factors with recurrence and prognosis of cervical cancer. CONCLUSION: The down-regulation of KAI1 tumor suppressor gene at both mRNA and protein levels is related to the differentiation, clinical stages and metastasis of cervical cancer, indicating that the expression of KAI1 is a prognostic factor for cervical cancer.
