Objective To discuss the clinical outcomes of two-stage anterior osteotomy and posterior correction to serious congenital scoliosis in children. Methods 14 patients with serious congenital scoliosis was typeⅠin 2 cases, type Ⅱin 6 cases, and combination of type Ⅰ and Ⅱ in 6 cases according to MacEwen's classification. There were 4 boys and 10 girls, and the age was ranged from 8 to 13 years with a mean of 11.2 years. The preoperative coronal Cobb's angle was ranged from 63? to 95? with an average of 72.1?. The hemivertebra ranging from T2 to L4. All cases were treated by anterior osteotomy, resection of hemivertebrae, and release of unilateral unsegmented bar, combined with posterior correction, and fusion with bone graft. The average range of osteotomy was 5.5 segments in anterior procedure, and all the patients were instrumented with pedicle screws in posterior procedure. Results In this group, the blood loss was 300 to 500 ml in first stage and 700 to 1200 ml in second stage respectively. After the first-stage surgery, the coronal Cobb's angle was ranged from 48? to 60? with a mean of 51.5?, and the correction rate ranged from 19.6% to 37.8% with an average of 28.6%. After the second-stage surgery, the Cobb's angle was ranged from 5? to 45? with a mean of 30.5? and the correction rate was from 52.6% to 87.5% with an average of 62.5%. All cases were followed up for 8 to 30 months (mean, 12.1 months). There were no loss of correction and major complications of the fixations, and the spinal fusions were excellent. Complications were observed in 2 cases, one was the loosening of the screw cap, and another was the T1 radicular pain after operations. Conclusion The combined anterior and posterior approach is an effective technique for serious congenital scoliosis in children of 8 to 12 years.

With the deepening of research in recent years, tumor metabolic reprogramming has gradually become the focus of research, and targeting tumor cell metabolism has also become a new means of tumor therapy. The metabolic process affects almost all the physiological processes of the organism, and lipid metabolism is an important part of the metabolic process. Studies have shown that changes in lipid uptake, storage and fatty acid synthesis and decomposition have occurred in a variety of tumors. Abnormal lipid metabolism will promote the rapid proliferation of tumors. Abnormal expression of a variety of key metabolic enzymes in the process of lipid metabolism is the key to tumor progression. The purpose of this paper is to explain the metabolic regulation of lipid metabolism and related metabolic enzymes in hematological tumors, and to provide ideas for the treatment of hematological tumors.

Signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3) is an important regulatory factor of cell proliferation and metastasis, involved in the occurrence and development of a variety of malignant tumors, and it is one of the hot spots in the research of targeted anti-tumor drugs. Our group screened a novel benzobis (imidazole) structure small molecule compound LZJ541 through the screening model of Janus kinase (JAK)/STAT3 pathway inhibitors, which has definite STAT3 inhibitory activity. We examined the effect of LZJ541 on the proliferation of HepG2 and PC-3 cells by MTT assay

A chiral LC-MS/MS method for the simultaneous analysis of desvenlafaxine (DVS) enantiomers in human plasma was developed and applied to a pharmacokinetic study on 12 Chinese healthy volunteers. d6-Desvenlafaxine was used as internal standard (IS). Chromatographic separation was performed on the Astec Chirobiotic V chiral column (150 mm x 4.6 mm, 5 μm). The assay was linear over the concentration range of 0.500-150 ng x mL(-1) for both enantiomers (r2 > 0.99). The method was successfully applied to a stereoselective pharmacokinetic study of 100 mg desvenlafaxine sustained release tablets on 12 Chinese healthy volunteers under fasting conditions. The results showed that the pharmacokinetic parameters were similar to both enantiomers in Chinese healthy volunteers. The AUC(0-t), and C(max) of the two enantiomers were about 1.5 times higher than those of blacks and whites reported in the literature.

Chinese Journal of Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine 2016;36(5):517-521
Facing current situation of integrative medicine (IM), authors put forward that clinical and diagnosis program of IM could be carried out from clinical path, pathogenesis, treatment theory and philosophy, and so on, but with different integration degrees. Meanwhile, formulation of concrete program should be disease-targetedly set up, and adjusted from person to person, from place to place, from time to time. As for settled IM program , authors could evaluate it from whether Chinese medicine and Western medicine have formed complementary, synergistic, excitatory actions, and toxicity attenuation; whether more problems could be solved in efficacy, safety, practicability, and economy than previous single mode.

Objective To explore the effect of keratinocyte growth factor(KGF)on the lung tissue and expres-sion of transforming growth factor - β1(TGF - β1 )in newborn rats with hyperoxia. Methods The 108 newborn SD rats were randomly divided into air group, hyperoxia group and KGF intervention group, and each group had 36 rats. The rats in every group were randomly divided into the 3,7,14 days subgroups, and each group had 12 rats. The rats in the hy-peroxia group and KGF intervention group were continually exposed to more than 950 mL/ L of oxygen box until the end of the experiment. KGF intervention group simultaneously undertook oxygen inhalation, hypodermic injection of 1 mg/ d recombinant human KGF(rhKGF)on the back on the first 3 days and 0. 5 mg/ d 3 days later till the end of the experi-ment. Air group and hyperoxia group were offered equivalent 9 g/ L saline. The rats in the air group took air. The sub -groups of the 3,7 and 14 days were cut for lung tissue in the corresponding time, observing lung tissue by light micro-scope for pathological changes and TGF - β1 protein expressed in the lungs was determined by immunohistochemistry. Results Air group sprout pulmonary alveolus on the 7th day,and the alveolaration finished on the 14th day, while hy-peroxia group had alveolar growth retardation and pulmonary fibrosis, but pulmonary fibrosis was not obvious in KGF in-tervention group. There was a significant difference on 7th day and 14th day between hyperoxia group and air group in TGF - β1(9. 43 ± 0. 64 vs 8. 62 ± 0. 52,P ﹤ 0. 05;9. 97 ± 0. 49 vs 8. 66 ± 0. 48,P ﹤ 0. 01). There was no significant difference between KGF intervention group and air group in TGF - β1(8. 67 ± 0. 55 vs 8. 56 ± 0. 43,8. 77 ± 0. 52 vs 8. 62 ± 0. 52,8. 81 ± 0. 47 vs 8. 66 ± 0. 48,all P ﹥ 0. 05). There's a significant difference on 7th day and 14th day be-tween hyperoxia group and KGF intervention group in TGF - β1(all P ﹤ 0. 05). Conclusions KGF can inhibit the pro-tein expression of TGF - β1 ,and this may be one of the possible mechanism underlying the protective effect of KGF a-gainst lung injury.
