Objective To know the prevalence of type 2 diabetes and its risk factors in the elderly in Gushan Town, Fuzhou City. Methods From July to November of 2007, 4653 elderly permanent residents from 14 administrative units were selected using random cluster sampling. Results The prevalence of elderly type 2 diabetes was 11.2%. Non-conditional logistic regression analysis showed that age, occupation, monthly income (OR=1.42, 95%CI: 1.13～1.77), family history of diabetes (OR=6.49, 95%CI: 4.62～9.10), concen- tric obesity (OR=1.47, 95%CI: 1.15～1.88) were independent risk factors for diabetes. Conclusion The type 2 diabetes prevalence rate of the elderly was higher, and the health education and interventions should be strengthened to the people who have family history of diabetes and concentric obesity.

Objective To study and analyze the curative effect of linezolid in the treatment of severe pneumonia and the psychological countermeasures. Methods 100 cases of severe pneumonia patients treated in our hospital from March 2015 to August 2016 were selected and randomly divided into the control group and the experimental group. Two groups of patients according to the actual situation of patients with nutritional support and supplement electrolyte based treatment. The control group was treated with levofloxacin and ceftriaxone infusion treatment, the experimental group underwent intravenous linezolid therapy, and psychological care, pay attention to the psychological status of patients and patients, strengthen communication and exchanges, increase confidence in the treatment and the treatment compliance of patients. The therapeutic effects of the experimental group and the control group were compared and analyzed. Results After the corresponding treatment, the number of invalid cases in the experimental group was 4 cases, the number of effective cases was 31 cases, and the number of effective cases was 15 cases. The number of invalid cases in the control group was 10 cases, the effective number was 26 cases, and the effective cases were 14 cases. The effective rate of treatment in the experimental group was 92.0％, which was significantly higher than that in the control group, and the effective rate was 80.0％, with statistical difference (P<0.05). There were no obvious adverse reactions in the experimental group and the control group. The rate of adverse reactions in the control group was 14.0％, significantly higher than that in the experimental group (2.0％), and there was a statistical difference (P<0.05). Conclusion Linezolid is effective in the treatment of severe pneumonia, it can improve the therapeutic effect to a certain extent, and it has high security, it has the significance of clinical promotion.

OBJECTIVETo observe the effect of Bushen Huatan Recipe (BHR) on the Akt signal pathway in polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) model rats with insulin resistance (IR).

METHODSFifty Wistar female PCOS rats were randomly and equally divided into 5 groups, i.e., the control group, the model group, the low dose BHR group (5.406 g/kg), the medium dose BHR group (10.812 g/kg), and the high dose BHR group (21.624 g/kg), 10 in each group. Levels of fasting blood glucose (FBG) and insulin were detected to calculate homeostasis model assessment of insulin resistance (HOMA-IR). The expression of insulin receptor substrate 1 (IRS-1), glycogen synthetase kinase-3beta (GSK-3beta), glucose transporter 4 (GLUT-4), and peroxisome proliferator activated receptor (PPAR-gamma) mRNA were detected by RT-PCR. The expression of insulin signal transduction molecular kinase B (Akt) was detected by Western blot.

RESULTSCompared with the control group, HOMA-IR and the mRNA expression of PPAR-gamma mRNA significantly increased, the mRNA expression of GSK-3beta, GLUT-4, and IRS-1, protein expression of Akt and p-Akt significantly decreased in the model group (P < 0.05). Compared with the model group, HOMA-IR significantly decreased, the mRNA expression of GSK-3beta, GLUT-4, IRS-1, and Akt protein significantly increased in the high dose BHR group (P < 0.05, P < 0.01). The mRNA expression of p-Akt protein increased more obviously (P < 0.05, P < 0.01). mRNA expression of GSK- 3beta and GLUT-4 significantly increased (P < 0.05), while the mRNA expression of PPAR-gamma significantly decreased in the low and middle BHR groups (P < 0.05). The expression of p-Akt significantly increased in the low dose BHR group (P < 0.05).

CONCLUSIONSIR and abnormal insulin signal pathway existed in PCOS model rats. BHR could improve IR of PCOS rats, which was correlated with regulating protein expression of insulin signal transduction molecules.

Objective To study the prognostic value of immunophenotypes in the patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) and its prognostic significance of immunohistochemical markers for rituximab.Methods The data of 186 initial DLBCL patients were retrospectively analyzed.According to the international prognostic index,all patients were divided into relatively high-risk group and relatively low-risk groups,and the patients in both groups were divided into chemotherapy (CHOP) group and immune chemotherapy (R-CHOP) group,respectively,hnmunohistochemical method and Hans typing method were applied to immune classification in all of groups.The prognostic significances of the immunological subtypes in different prognosis group were compared by Log-rank test.Results The 5-year OS rate of the GCB subtype patients in the CHOP group was significantly higher than that of the non-GCB subtype (58.82 ％ vs 32.00 ％,X2 =8.482,P=0.004),while that was no significant difference between GCB and non-GCB subtypes patients in the R-CHOP group (72.97 ％ vs 61.54 ％,X2 =2.694,P =0.101).Further analysis results showed that non-GCB subtype patients treated with R-CHOP had significantly higher 5-year OS rate than those treated with CHOP (61.54 ％ vs 32.00 ％,X2 =7.385,P=0.007).In the 107 cases of low risk group,there was no significant difference in 5-year OS rate between GCB and non-GCB subtype patients in the CHOP group or in the R-CHOP group (all P ＞ 0.05),and there was no significant difference in 5-year OS rates between the CHOP and R-CHOP groups in the GCB group or in the non-GCB group (all P ＞ 0.05).In the 79 cases of high risk group,the 5-year OS rate in the GCB subtype group was significantly higher than that in the non-GCB subtype in the CHOP group (40.00 ％ vs 22.72 ％,X2 =3.978,P =0.045),while there was no significant difference in 5-year OS rates between GCB and non-GCB subtype patients in the R-CHOP group (62.50 ％ vs 42.31％,X2 =2.072,P =0.150).Conclusions By immunohistochemistry,DLBCL can be divided into two immunophenotype subgroups,which have guiding significance for early prognosis and therapeutic strategies,but which are no longer or weak in prognostic significance in the era of post-rituximab.R-CHOP improve significantly survival of non-GCB subgroup patients.However,its function needs to be further explored in the GCB subgroup.

Objective To investigate the effects of different concentrations of propofol on the apoptosis in hippocampal neurons in neonatal rats in vitro.Methods Primary hippocampal neurons were prepared from newborn Sprague-Dawley rats (aged 7 days) and cultured for 7 days.The neurons were randomly divided into 7 groups (n =8 each):control group (group C),propofol 4,8 and 12 μg/ml groups (groups P1-3),and fat emulsion 4,8and 12 μg/ml groups (groups F1-3).The cells were cultured for 24 h in the culture medium containing propofol 4,8 and 12μg/ml in groups P1-3,respectively.The cells were cultured for 24 h in the culture medium containing fat emulsion 4,8 and 12 μg/ml in groups F1 3,respectively.The cell morphology was examined by microscopy after 24 h culture.The expression of caspase-3 (by immuno-histochemistry) and neuronal apoptosis were detected.The neuronal apoptosis rate was calculated.Results Compared with group C,the neuronal apoptosis rate and caspase3 expression were significantly increased in groups P1-3 (P ＜ 0.05 or 0.01).The neuronal apoptosis rat and caspase-3 expression were increased in a concentration-dependent manner in groups P1-3 (P ＜ 0.05).The neuronal apoptosis rate and caspase-3 expression were significantly lower in groups F1-3 than in groups P1-3 (P ＜ 0.05).There was no significant difference in the neuronal apoptosis rate and caspase-3 expression between groups F1-3 (P ＞ 0.05).The damage to neurons was induced in groups P1-3 and most severe in group P3.Conclusion Propofol can promote the apoptosis in hippocampal neurons in neonatal rats in vitro in a concentration-dependent manner.
