Objective To examine the change and role of nuclear factor-kappa B(NF-?B) activity and tumor necrosis factor-alpha(TNF-?) level in patients with systemic inflammatory response syndrome(SIRS).Methods Eighty patients with SIRS were studied. The NF-?B activity in monocytes and the level of TNF-? in serum was measured. The state of illness was estimated by APACHEⅡ score. Results There was significant difference for the activity of NF-?B in patients with SIRS compared with the control group. The NF-?B activity,TNF-? level and APACHEⅡ score are higher in both resuscitation multiple organ dysfunction syndrome(MODS) group and death group than the non-MODS group and survival group correspondingly(P

Objective To certify insuline resistance in nonobese patients with essential hypertension(EH) and observe effect of imidapril. Methods An oral glucose tolerance test(OGTT) and insulin releasing test(IRT) were performed on 40 nonobese EH patients before and after imidapril treatment, the plasma levels of glucose and insulin were tested and compared with those of 16 normal subjects. Results The insuline level of fasting or 30,60,120 min after OGTT were significantly higher than those in normal group(P

Objective To analyze the relationship between the distribution of visceral adipose and cardiovascular damage in the patients with metabolic syndrome. Methods 108 in-patients were categorized according to the diseases, they were suffering from into metabolic syndrome group (MS, 70 cases), essential hypertension group (EH, 22 cases), and type 2 diabetes mellitus group (T2DM, 16 cases). The areas of both visceral adipose (VA) and subcutaneous adipose (SA) were measured for all the three groups, and then VA/SA was calculated. The relationship of the above variables with left ventricular mass (LVM), LVM-index (LVMI) intima-medial thickness (IMT) of carotid artery, and myocardial ischemia was analysed. Results Compared with T2DM and EH groups, the area with VA was significantly larger in MS group (P

Objective:To evaluate the anti-corrosion property of Ti-Zr alloy fabricated by laser solid forming technic in artificial saliva.Method:The corrosive behavior of Ti-Zr alloy fabricated by laser solid forming was studied by potentiadynamic polarization technique in artificial saliva at 37 ℃(pH=6.8).Ti-Zr alloy formed by casting was applied as the control. With the polarization curves given by the electrochemical corrosive measure system and the picture of corrosive plane given by SEM, the corrosive property of the Ti-Zr alloy were analyzed.Results:Ti-Zr alloy fabricated by laser solid forming showed more relatively positive corrosion potential, smaller corrosion current density and lower passive potential, and did not show any evidence of corrosive phenomena.Conclusion:Ti-Zr alloy fabricated by laser solid forming has good corrosive resistance in oral circumstances.

Objective To investigate the effect of cosmetic surgery on the facial soft tissue injuries. Methods The clinical data of 52 patients with facial soft tissue injuries from June 2013 to June 2014 were analyzed retrospectively. And plastic surgical techniques were applied to the early treatment of facial soft tissue injuries in patients, according to the size of defect and the degree of deformity of the patients, different plastic surgery treatment was chosen, such as skin flap or skin graft to repair wound surfaces. In this process, one must follow sterile noninvasive principle strictly with emphasis on the technique of plastic surgery such as entire debridement, wound healing application of skin flap and so on.Results Total 49 cases of facial soft tissue injuries were healed by first intention without significant complications, while 4 cases of them had mild scars.Absorbable suture exposition appeared in 3 patients after primary healing. Those sutures were romoved after disinfected and no sequelaes were happened. All patients were recovered with good appearances and functions to the most exent. Conclusions The treatment of facial soft tissue injuries,by applying plastic and aesthetic surgery, could reduce scar and postoperative deformity, and secondary corrective procedures can be avoided in most patients.

The effects of Trichostatin A (TSA) on histone deacetylase 8 (HDAC8) expression, proliferation and cell cycle arrest in T-lymphoblastic leukemia cell line Molt-4 cells in vitro were investigated. The effect of TSA on the growth of Molt-4 cells was studied by MTT assay. Flow cytometry was used to examine the cell cycle. The expression of HDAC8 was detected by using immunocytochemistry and Western blot. The results showed that proliferation of Molt-4 cells was inhibited in TSA-treated group in a time- and dose-dependent manner. The IC50 of TSA exposures for 24 h and 36 h were 254.3236 and 199.257 microg/L respectively. The cell cycle analysis revealed that Molt-4 was mostly in G0/G1 phase, and after treatment with TSA from 50 to 400 microg/L for 24 h, the percents of G0/G1 cells were decreased and cells were arrested in G2/M phase. Treatment of TSA for 24 h could significantly inhibit the expression of HDAC8 protein in Molt-4 cells (P<0.01). It was concluded that TSA could decrease the expression of HDAC8 in Molt-4 cells, which contributed to the inhibition of proliferation and induction of cell cycle arrest in Molt-4 cells.

Objective To analyze the corneal flap thickness in laser in situ keratomileusis(LASIK) using Moria M2 microkeratome and to identify the related factors. Methods Sixty patients with LASIK were divided into two groups: M2 90 group, using the Moria M2 90 microkeratome,n=30;M2 110 group, using the Moria M2 110 microkeratome,n=30.All were performed on both eyes with the right one treated first.Subtraction pachymetry was used to measure corneal flap thickness which was analyzed statistically with the data including age, preoperative corneal diameter, curvature, corneal thickness and refraction. Results In the 30 patients of M2 90 group, the mean corneal flap thickness of right eye and left eyes were(128.03?12.03)?m(105~156 ?m) and(123.40?12.38) ?m(92~147 ?m),respectively, and the corneal flap thickness were statistically different between the right and left eyes(P
