Objective To discuss the value of video -assisted thoracoscope technology in diagnosis and treatment of thoracic trauma .Methods Form January 2009 to December 2013, a retrospective analysis was carried out on 43 patients with thoracic trauma .All the patients were treated with video -assisted thoracoscope technology . Results The procedure were successful and all the patients were cured out of hospital .Conclusion It is wide oper-ation indication, little harm, definite treapeutic effect, little complication and fast recovered to treat the patient with thoracic trauma using video -assisted thoracoscope technology , and it is a good choice for diagnosis and treatment in thoracic trauma.

0.05); serum HBsAb levels of pregnant mice and neonatal mice in group with CpG-1826 (20 ?g)+hepatitis B vaccine significantly higher than those in group with CpG-1826 (10 ?g, 40 ?g)+ hepatitis B vaccine,hepatitis B vaccine and control respectively(P0.05).Conclusions Combination injection of CpG-1826 20 ?g and hepatitis B vaccine can markedly increase serum antibody levels of pregnant mice and neonatal mice, but don′t affect the survival quantity, the growth and development of neonatal mice.CpG-1826 is an ideal immune adjuvant for neonates with immature immune system during pregnancy.

Objective To explore the possibities of routine disinfection for prosthetic sockets. Methods From June to August, 2016, 19 lower limbs prosthesis wearers wiped their prosthetic socket surfaces and sprayed the stump socks with a compound of quaternary ammoni-um salt every night for three weeks. Meanwhile, field investigation and sampling were carried out weekly. Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudo-monas aeruginosa, Escherichia Coli and Candida albicans were isolated and identified, and colony counting was carried out. Results After disinfection, the number of bacteria on the prosthetic socket reduced 1.8-3.0 log, and the number of fungi reduced 1.6-1.9 log. One strain of Staphylococcus aureus and one strain of Escherichia Coli were isolated before disinfection and one strain of Pseudomonas aeruginosa was isolated after disinfection. Eczema and itching symptoms relieved or disappeared and deodorant effect was distinguished after continuous disinfection. Conclusion Disinfection on prosthetic sockets with compound of quaternary ammonium salt may control the microbial contam-ination and odor, reduce the incidence of eczema and other skin diseases.

ObjectiveTo standardize the service for mental disability in community, and evaluate scientifically the effect of rehabilitation measures and social factors on the prognosis of disease.MethodsIn the communities selected by cluster sampling method, family-social rehabilitation service was established. The observe groups or specified observers were selected by the community committee, and the maintenance treatment and rehabilitation evaluation were made by psychiatrists.ResultsAfter community rehabilitation treatment, schizophrenia could be compliant with maintenance treatment, which led to satisfactory social function evaluation and rehabilitation result.Conclusion Community rehabilitation treatment could increase the compliance with medical treatment and decrease the occurrence of relapse.

Objective To study the change and rule of immunological function among the patients with coal arsenic poisoning in order to provide a basis for tumor risk evaluation and monitoring.Methods Seventy patients with coal arsenic poisoning aged from 24 to 71 years old(44 men,26 women,averaging 41 years old)were divided into 4 groups including 23 cases having a course less than 10 years,21 case8 lasting for 10～19 years,20 cages for more than 20 years,6 cases of cancer,and 26 healthy normal controls.Flow cytometer(FCM)was used to analyze the frequency of CD3+(total T cell),CD3+CD4+(inducer/helper T cell),CD3+CD8+(suppressor/cytotoxic T cell),CD19+(B lymphocyte),and CD56+CD16+(natural killer cell)lymphocyte subsets in the peripheral blood of the subjects and the expression rates of lymphocytic membrane surface molecules of human leucocvte antigen (HLA)-DR,CD25,CD38 were also determined by FCM.Results The pmportions of CD3+cells in periDheral blood of less than 10 years,10～19 years,more than 20 years and cancer groups were (63.76±9.32)%。(55.63± 12.97)%,(51.00±12.23)%and(49.83±,9.89)%respectively,which were significantly lower than that in control group[(68.10±8.62)%],and there was a significant difference between different groups(F=12.862,P<0.05). In less than 10 years,10～19 years,more than 20 years and cancer groups,the proportion of CD3+CD4+cells cells was (31.35±6.62)%,(28.38±8,66)%,(24.13±6.46)%and(19.17±4.96)%respectively,which wag significantly lowerthan that in control group[(34.28±7.32)%],and significant in a-group difference was found(F=10.455, P<0.05).The percentages of CD19+cells in more than 20 yeats and cancer groups[(9.00±5.32)%,(9.00± 3.29)%]were lower than that in control group and less than 10 years group[(11.80±3.43)%,(12.35±4.53)%] (P<0.05),while no statistical difference was found between other groups.The expression rates of CD25 and CD38 in lymphocytes of cancer group[(17.96 ±4.98)%,(41.38±8.54)%]were obviously higher than those in control group[(13.10±338)%,(28.60±5.51)%]and there were statistical differences between the experimental groups(P<0.05).The expression rate of HLA-DR in 10～19 years groups[(18.20±6.25)%]was significantly higher than that in control group[(10.72±7.06)%]and less than 10 years group[(11.78±5.13)%],while it was the same in more than 20 years and cancer group[(20.30±8.01)%,(21.82±10.97)%].Conclusions Reduction of cellular immune function caused by coal arsenic poisoning may be an important mechanism of skin cancer.CelMar immune function may be used as a warning signal of skin cancerization of patients with coal arsenic poisoning.

Objective To investigate the current situation of the prevention and contml of iodine deficiency disorders(IDD)in Hubei Province,SO as to provide a policy.making basis for controlling work of IDD. Methods Using the method of proportional population sampling(PPS),30 eounties were seiected in Hubei Province.In each selected county,1 primary school was chosen.In every primary school,40 pupil8 aged 8～10 years were selected to examine thyroid size,intelligent quotient(IQ),and salt iodine contents at their home.In the selected pupils,2 boys and 2 girls were chosen to determine their urinary iodine contents in each age grouD.Twenty pupils in the above school and 5 housewives ileal"to this school were tested in health education questionnaire. Results The median of salt iodine was 30.1 mg/kg,and the rate of comsuming qualified iodized salt was 96.2% (1154/1200).The rates ofchild goiter were 6.5%(78/1200)by palpation and 4.1%(49/1200)by B ultrasound.The median of urinary iodine Was 358.4μg/L and mean of the IQ was 105.3±14.4.The rate of qualified scores of both students and housewives Was 25.5%(153/600)、90.7%(136/150).Conclusions The current Bituation of iedine nutrition is good.The goal of eliminating IDD has been achieved in Hubei Province.

OBJECTIVETo study toxic effects of 2,5-hexanedione (2,5-HD) on pathology and lipid peroxidation in mouse retina.

METHODSForty-eight mice were randomly divided into blank control group (12 mice), negative control group exposed to normal solution (12 mice) and group exposed to 2,5-HD for 2. 4 and 8 weeks, respectively (24 mice) by intraperitoneal injection (2.5% 2,5-HD) at the dose of 400 mg/kg. The pathological changes of mouse retina were examined under light microscope. The activity of superoxide dismutase (SOD) and the level of malondialdehyde (MDA) in mouse retina were detected.

RESULTSThe retinal structure in the blank and negative control groups was normal. In mice exposed to 2,5-HD for 8 weeks, the swelling of outer and inner segments and disorder arrangement of the segments without clear boundary were found. The staining of outer plexiform layers was uneven and the irregular loose structure appeared. The hyperchromatic pyknotic and necrosis nuclei were presented in ganglion cells layer. Compared with the control and blank groups, the activities of SOD gradually and significantly reduced and the concentrations of MDA increased in group exposed to 2,5-HD (P < 0.05).

CONCLUSION2,5-HD can induce the injury of retina tissues of mice, which may be associated with the lipid peroxidation.

OBJECTIVETo screen the mutations of the low density lipoprotein receptor (LDLR) gene in a familial hypercholesterolemia (FH) family, and analyze the LDL-uptaking function of LDLR on lymphocytes of patients.

METHODSGenomic DNA was extracted from four affected members in a Chinese FH family. The presence of apoB100 gene R3500Q mutation which results in familial defective apolipoprotein B100 (FDB) was excluded first. Fragments of the LDLR gene were amplified by touch-down polymerase chain reaction (Touch-down PCR) and analyzed by single-strand conformational polymorphism (SSCP). The suspect fragments of the LDLR gene were cloned and sequenced. Furthermore, the lymphocytes bounded with fluorescent-labeled LDL (DiI-LDL) were measured by fluorescence flow cytometry.

RESULTSA nonsense mutation was identified in exon 10 of LDLR gene. This mutation gave rise to a premature stop codon (W462X), resulting in the absence of most of the LDLR domains. It was detected in all the affected members of the FH family. The ratios of functional LDLR in lymphocytes from patients and normal controls were 63.7% and 77.3% respectively. As a result, the activity of the functional LDLR in patients was just 82.4% of that in the normal controls.

CONCLUSIONIt is possible that the W462X mutation of LDLR gene is the main cause for the disease in this family.
