The report quality of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) of moxibustion for knee osteoarthritis (KOA) in China was evaluated by Consolidated Standards for Reporting of Trials (CONSORT) and Standards for Reporting Interventions in Controlled Trials of Moxibustion (STRICTOM). Computer and manual retrieval was used. Four databases of China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKD, China Biomedicine (CBM), VIP and WNFANG were searched in combination with manual retrieval for relevant journals to screen the literature that: met the inclusive criteria, and CONSORT and STRICTOM were used to assess the report quality. A total of 52 RCTs were included. It was found that unclear description of random methods, low use of blind methods, no allocation concealment, no sample size calculation, no intention-to-treat analysis, inadequate report of moxibustion details and no mention of practitioners background existed in the majority of the RCTs. Although the quality of RCTs of moxibustion for KOA was generally low, reducing the reliability and homogeneous comparability of the reports ,the quality of heat-sensitive moxibustion RCTs was high. It was believed that in order to improve the reliability and quality of RCTs of moxibustion, CONSORT and STRICTOM should be introduced into the RCT design of moxibustion and be strictly performed.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the short-term clinical outcome of unicompartmental knee arthroplasty for the treatment of spontaneous osteonecrosis of the knee.
METHODSFrom September 2013 to April 2014,5 patients with spontaneous osteonecrosis of the knee underwent unicompartmental knee arthroplasty, included 3 males and 2 females, aged from 65 to 80 years old with an average of 74 years. The courses of disease was from 1 to 6 years with the mean of 3 years. According to the radiographic staging criteria of Koshino, 1 case was stage II, 2 cases were stage III, 2 cases were stage IV. Clinical effects were assessed by VAS score, HSS score, and knee range of motion, tibiofemoral angle before and after operation.
RESULTSAll the patients were followed up from 6 to 7 months with an average of 6.4 months. All incisions obtained primary healing, and there were no complications such as infection, thrombosis, fracture of lower limbs. All 5 patients' pain relieved and their knee function improved significantly after operation, but knee range of motion had no obviously improved. Postoperative HSS scores, VAS scores, tibiofemoral angle were significantly improved than that of preoperative.
CONCLUSIONThe short-term effect of unicompartmental knee arthroplasty in treating spontaneous osteonecrosis of the knee is satisfactory.

Chinese Journal of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation 2017;39(6):433-437
Objective To explore the application of submental ultrasonongraphy (SUS) in the assessment of oropharyngeal swallowing disorders in children with cerebral palsy. Methods Seventeen children with cerebral palsy and oropharyngeal swallowing difficulties (7 on nasal feeding,10 on oral feeding) constituted the treatment group while 20 normal counterparts formed the control group.SUS was applied to measure any changes in the thickness of the tongue muscle and the range of hyoid bone displacement when they swallowed 5 ml of water. The results were compared with those assessed using the functional oral intake scale to decide the best cut-off point for detecting tube-feeding-dependent dysphagia. The intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) of the 20 children in the control group was calculated to evaluate the intra-rater and inter-rater reliability of SUS.Results The average tongue muscle thickness change and hyoid bone displacement amplitude of the children on nasal feeding were significantly smaller than those of the children without nasal feeding and the normal children. The best cut-off point for the tongue muscle thickness change data was 1.0 cm,and that of the hyoid bone displacement amplitude was 1.5 cm.All of the ICCs were above 0.4,indicating good intra-rater and inter-rater reliability for the SUS examination. Conclusion Submental ultrasonongraphy can help assess the swallowing function of children with oropharyngeal swallowing disorders.

Objective To investigate the relation between the characteristics of body fat distribution and the cardiovascular risk factors in some patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM)in Xinjiang region. Methods The percentage of body fat (PBF)and visceral fat area(VA)were determined in 155 cases of T2DM by using the Inbody 720 body composition analyzer. At the same time triglycerides(TG),total cholesterol(TC),high density lipoprotein(HDL-C),low density lipoprotein(LDL-C),blood pressure(BP), glycosylated hemoglobin HbA1c,body weight(W),body height, waist circumference ratio(WC)and hip circumference(HC)were also determined. The body mass index(BMI)and the waist to hip ratio was calculated. Results In both men and women,BMI in the subjects with visceral fat obesity(VFO)was higher than that with subcutaneous fat obesity(SFO).In males,TG in VFO was signif-icantly higher than that in SFO.PBF,TC and LDL-C in the female T2DM patients were significantly higher than those in the male T2DM patients.VA and PBF in the minority male patients were significantly higher than those in the Han nationality male patients (P <0.05).After correcting the age, course of disease and BMI,WHR in the female patients was positively correlated with DBP and PBF was positively correlated with LDL-C.In the male patients, there were correlations between BMI with SBP,between VA with DBP,and between VA with PBF and HDL-C;in the female patients, there were correlations between BMI with SBP and be-tween WHR with DBP.Conclusion The body fat distribution in the patients with T2DM in Xinjiang region is dominated by VFO. The cardiovascular risk factors are not only associated with the increase of body fat content, but more closely associated with VFO, moreover the differences in genders and nationalities exist.
