Objective To study the correlation of expression of N-myc downstream regulated gene 1(NDRG1) with invasion of breast invasive duct carcinoma and lymph node metastasis. OBJECTIVETo explore therapeutic effects of Modified pinning combined with external tension band for the treatment of Gartland type III humeral supracondylar fractures in children.

METHODSFrom February 2009 to November 2010, 79 children with Gartland type III humeral supracondylar fractures were treated by modified pinning (pinning cross internal and external condyle assisted with lateral condyle) combined with external tension band (crossing needle end and hooking around) through lateral approach of elbow. There were 47 males and 32 females, with an average age of 8.7 years (ranging from 2.5 to 14 years). The time from injury to operation was 2 h to 8 d. The elbow joint function and Carrying angle were observed before and after treatment. The Flynn criteria were used to evaluate therapeutic effects.

RESULTSSixty-one patients were followed up (18 patients' data were lost) for 6-30 months (mean 13.5 months). According to Flynn criteria, 53 patients got excellent result, 7 good and 1 fair.

CONCLUSIONTreatment of child Gartland type III humeral supracondylar fractures with modified pinning combined with external tension band through lateral approach of elbow is believed to be an ideal method, which has advantages of reliable fixation, rapid recovery and less complications.

Three candidate antisense target sites of mouse Fas gene were screened by PARASS (poly-A anchored RNA accessible sites screening) technology. They were target at Fas gene 297nt-317nt, 618nt- 638nt and 662nt-682nt. Antisense oligos (A1, A2 and A3) and DNAzymes (D1, D2, and D3) for every target site were designed and synthesized. In vitro, the validation of the sites were judged by antisense oligos included RNase H splicing and the DNAzyme degradation. The results indicated that A1, A2 and A3 introduced RNase H degradation. DNAzymes D1, D2 and D3 cleaved Fas mRNA effectively. Neither degradation observed in antisense oligo RNase H group in non-target site (1211-1231nt) and 2 bases mismatched of A3, nor splicing occurred in DNzyme group in non-target site ( 1211-1231nt) and 2 bases mismatched of D3. Site 2 and 3 were at the same positions with those of ISIS Pharmaceuticals. The effective antisense oligos and DNAzymes for Fas gene could be used for the research subsequently.

Objective - To analyze the relationship between cobalt level of post shift urine and individual exposure level of ， cobalt and its compounds in cobalt exposed workers and to explore the feasibility of using urine cobalt as a biomarker. Methods - A total of 148 occupational cobalt exposed workers from a new material company were selected as the exposed ， - - group and 44 non occupational cobalt exposed workers from the company were selected as the control group using the typical sampling method. The exposure concentration of time weighted average of cobalt and its compounds in the workplace air of the - two groups was determined by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry as the individual exposure level. The cobalt levels - - of pre shift and post shift urinary samples of the two groups were detected by this method. The linear relationship between the - cobalt level of post shift urine and the individual exposure level of cobalt and its compounds in the air of the workplace was Results - 3 analyzed. The individual exposure level of cobalt and its compounds in the exposed group was 1.10 131.71 μg/m with （M） 3 the median of 12.23 μg/m. No cobalt and its compounds were detected in the workplace air in the control group. The cobalt - - levels of pre shift and post shift urines in exposed group were higher than those in the control group at the same time point （M： vs ， vs ， P ） - - 1.54 0.56 μg/L 8.77 0.83 μg/L all <0.01 . The cobalt level of post shift urine was higher than that in pre shift （M： vs ，P ）， urine in the exposed group 8.77 1.54 μg/L <0.01 and it was positively correlated with the individual exposure level （ ，P ） ， of cobalt and its compounds Spearman correlation coefficient=0.86 <0.01 . After common logarithm conversion the linear regression equation of the cobalt level of post shift urine and the common logarithm of individual exposure level of cobalt and （x） ：ŷ x（ ；F ， its compounds in the exposed group was as follows = −0.178 + 0.988 coefficient of determination=0.72 =374.75 P ；t ， P ） Conclusion - <0.01 = - 19.36 <0.01 . Introduction：Neonatal tetanus is a major cause of neonatal mortality in many developing countries and remains a major public health problem. This study aimed to determine risk factors associated with neonatal tetanus in Wenzhou, China.Methodology：Medical records of neonatal tetanus cases from 17 hospitals over a 13-year period (2000–2012) were reviewed for potential risk factors. Controls were selected from neonates with diseases other than tetanus who were admitted to the same facility during the same period. The potential risk factors of the neonatal tetanus group were compared with the control group using univariate analysis and an unconditional logistic regression model.Results：A total of 246 neonates with tetanus and 257 controls were included in this study. Univariate analysis showed that having untrained birth attendants, home delivery, an unsterile method of delivery and being a migrant to Wenzhou were significantly different between the two groups (P < 0.001). Logistic regression analysis revealed that the odds of having an untrained birth attendant, home delivery and an unsterile method of delivery were significantly higher in the tetanus group than the control group (odds ratio: 1371.0; 95% confidence interval: 206.0, 9123.5).Conclusion：This study identified that the main risks of neonatal tetanus in cases from Wenzhou were having an untrained birth attendant, home delivery and an unsterile method of delivery. Preventive measures directed to these risk factors may reduce the occurrence of neonatal tetanus in the studied area.

AIM:To explore the curative effect of 20G and 25G three-channel pars plana vitrectomy in the treatment of idiopathic macular epiretinal membrane,and to provide a theoretical basis for the minimally invasive treatment of idiopathic macular epiretinal membrane.METHODS:Medical records were retrospectively analyzed to explore curative effect.From January 2014 to December 2016,60 patients (60 eyes) with idiopathic macular pucker in our hospital for eye treatment were selected.They were grouped according to different operation way,in 28 patients (28 eyes) using three-channel 20G pars plana vitrectomy as the control group,32 patients (32 eyes) with 25G no-suture conjunctival vitrectomy as observation group.Two groups of patients were evaluated at 3mo after treatment for visual acuity,OCT examination,comfort,and we recorded the operation time,complications and recurrence.RESULTS:The operating time of observation group was 18-25min,average 20±2.15min,the control group was 22-35min,28 ± 2.07min on average,the difference was statistically significant (P＜0.05).At the time of the last follow-up,visual acuity of two groups improved compared with preoperative,without vision decrease.In observation group vision improved in 69％,significantly higher than that of control group (50％),difference was statistically significant (x2 =7.287,P＜ 0.05).Preoperative intraocular pressure of two groups was not significantly different.intraocular pressure of two group at postoperative 1d reduced compared with preoperative (Ftime =31.34,P＜0.01;Fgr.up =17.43,P＜0.01).There was no statistically significant difference at 7d and 1mo compared with preoperative (P＞0.05).Preoperative OCT on macular thickness of the two groups had no statistically significant difference.At 7d,1 and 3mo after treatment,epiretinal membranes disappeared in all patients,and the macular thickness reduced,the macular edema relieved (P＜ 0.05).At postoperative 3mo,two groups of patients were found no recurrence of epiretinal membranes.At 7d,1 and 3mo after treatment,differences between the two groups on macular thickness had no statistical significance.At postoperative 1d,in the control group there were foreign body sensation,swelling,and tears,pain and discomfort,20 patients with eye conjunctival congestion,edema,conjunctival suture to cause discomfort,the symptoms relieved after treatment.In observation group,12 patients with mild conjunctival congestion and edema,dotted hemorrhage at the wound in 4 eyes,5 eyes appeared lower intraocular pressure (6-8mmHg).without special treatment,Postoperative bleeding and edema stopped at 7d,intraocular pressure returned to normal.Patients of observation group did not have foreign body sensation,swelling and discomfort symptoms.At the time of the last follow-up,in the two groups,no iatrogenic retinal detachment,cataract,endophthalmitis and other serious complications occurred.CONCLUSION:The 20G of three-channel pars plana vitrectomy and 25G the no-suture conjunctival vitrectomy are equal for idiopathic macular epiretinal membrane,25G vitrectomy operation time is short with better patient comfort.

Objective: To observe the effects of angina pector is on severe ventricular arrhythmia and QTd in patients with first acute myocard ial infarction(AMI). Methods: One hundred and eight-four cases of first AMI were divided into 2 groups: PA group, angina pectoris occurred with in 24 h before AMI onset (n=58), NPA group, no preceeding angina pectori s occurred (n=126). Occurrence of complications and QTd were investigated du ring hospitalization. Results: The basic clinical characteristic s, coronary risk factors, medication before infarction, treatments after admissi on with antiarrhythmic agents, site of infarction, successful rate of thrombolys is and peak CK, CK-MB were not statistically different. Early QTd in PA group and NPA group were (56.22±18.40) ms vs (84.45±21.90) ms, respectively, P <0.05, late QTd in PA group and NPA group were (50.67± 16.34) ms vs (64.1 8(16.41) ms, respectively, P<0.05. Comparison with NPA group, incidence of severe ventricular arrhythmia, heart failure, cardiogenic shock and rate of car diac mortality in-hospital was lower in PA group. Conclusion: P reinfarction angina pectoris can significantly reduce the incidence of severe ve ntricular arrhythmia and QTd in the patients with first AMI, sugges ting that these favorable effects might be associated with protective effects of ischemic preconditioning on myocardium and ventricular pump function and improv ement of repolarizative asynchronism in ventricular myocardium.

AIMTo investigate the mechanism of protection by sound conditioning from acoustic trauma.

METHODSSound conditioning experimental model of animals was established. The expression of CaM, HSP70 and F-actin in hair cells were examined with the method of immunohistochemistry. Free calcium concentration in hair cells was observed by LSCM at the same time. Quantitative investigation was devised to assess the changes of F-actin, CaM, HSP70 and intracellular calcium concentration in hair cells.

RESULTSThe expression of CaM, HSP70 and F-actin all showed an increased trend after noise exposure. HSP70 and F-actin expressed significantly more in group CH than that expressed in group H. Compared with group H, the expression of CaM showed an increased trend in group CH. Elevation of intracellular calcium concentration could be resulted from noise exposure. The calcium concentration in group H was significantly higher than that in group C and group CH.

CONCLUSIONA suitable sound conditioning can make the auditory system of guinea pig more resistant to noise trauma. The strengthened cytoskeleton system and the intracellular calcium homeostasis play a critical role in the protective mechanism of sound conditioning.
