Objective To study the effect of intestinal trefoil factor(ITF) on nuclear factor-?B(NF-?B) in neonatal rats intestinal tissues with necrotizing enterocolitis(NEC),and to discuss whether ITF had protective function in NEC,and its role in the mechanism of NEC.Methods Fifty neonatal rats were randomly divided into 5 groups:group A as control group, group B as control plus ITF 0.2 mg group, group C as NEC group, group D as NEC plus normal saline(NS),group E as NEC plus ITF 0.2 mg.NEC models of neonatal rats were established. On the 4th day,all subjects were put to death. The intestinal tissue located at the boundary of ileum and cecum were obtained to observe histological changes and NF-?B level. Results The density of NF-?B(p65) increased significantly in group C and D compared with those in group A,B and E(Pa

Chinese Journal of Neurology 2001;0(03):-
Objective To explore the different influence of antiepileptic drugs(AEDs)at therapeutic levels to the maturation of brain. Methods 180 healthy Sprague-Dawley(SD)rats were divided into infant and adult group. Each age group was administered with PB,CNP,VPA,TPM or normal saline respectively in persistent 5 weeks. The steady-state plasma concentrations of AEDs at the experimental dosage were coincided with the range of clinical therapeutic concentrations. After AEDs withdrawed, the effects of AEDs on cognitive function were assessed by Morris water maze and two-way shuttle box at different time points.Body and brain weight were got immediately when the rats were sacrificed.Histological changes of brain were observed by HE staining,Nissl staining and transmission electron microscopy.Results(1) For immature rats,1 day or 14 days after AEDs withdrawed, there were significant differences between groups exposed to PB or CNP and control group in escape response latency(ERL)in the two-way shuttle box.Even after one month ERLs of immature rats receiving CNP((6.05?2.04)s)or PB((5.81? 1.75)s)were still longer than that of untreated controls((4.75?2.43)s,P

Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2006;0(13):-
Objective To investigate the osteoclast′s function levels in infants and toddlers and the relationship between the osteoclast function and sex, age, body length, body weight and body mass index(BMI).Methods Sixty-eight children(37 boys and 31 girls, aged from 1 to 36 months) were studied. All of the children were in good health. These children were divided as infants group and toddlers group according to their age.Just before the samples were collected, the children′s body weight, body length were measured and the BMI were calculated. Two biochemical markers, such as serum tartrate-resistant acid phosphatase 5b(TRAP5b) and urine deoxypyridinoline(DPD) were measured. Results The difference of serum TRAP5b concentration between infants and toddlers was significant at the level of P

Microbiology 2008;0(07):-
Heavy metal treatment in wastewater by biosorption using moulds was introduced. Different uptake capacities of several different moulds were reviewed. Some factors affecting biosorption were summarized. The mechanism of moulds adsorption and techniques of immobilization were also discussed. In addition, the development tendency of heavy metal treatment in wastewater by biosorption using moulds was envisioned.

Abstract: Objective To analyze the recent cluster outbreaks of imported malaria and explore the risks, challenges and countermeasures for dealing with such events during malaria post-elimination era of malaria, and to provide reference for effectively addressing the risks and consolidating the achievements of malaria elimination. Methods The individual malaria case data from "The Information System for Infectious Disease Surveillance" and "The Information System For Parasitic Diseases Prevention And Control" were collected, and the diagnosis classification, infection source, time and space distribution of cases were analyzed. Results From January 1 to August 11, 2022, a total of 429 malaria cases were reported nationwide, an 18.9% decrease compared to the same period last year (529 cases), all of which were imported cases. The overall weekly trend of the outbreak remained stable, but since Week 31 (July 25-31), there has been a significant increase in the number of cases, with a peak on August 5. From July 25 to August 11, 2022, a total of 162 malaria cases were reported nationwide, up 315.4% from 39 cases in the same period last year, accounting for 37.8% of the total cases up to August 11, 2022. The main source of imported infections was Guinea (95 cases, 58.6%), with most cases reported in Longgang District, Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province (30 cases), Shilin County, Kunming City, Yunnan Province (21 cases), Chaoyang District, Beijing (11 cases), and Xiaoshan District, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province (7 cases). Conclusions Due to the concentration of returnees to China, several entry port cities simultaneously experienced cluster outbreaks of imported malaria, which brought immense pressure and challenges to local medical and health institutions. Health facilities at all levels need to maintain high vigilance and sensitivity, be well prepared, and avoid death and secondary transmission caused by imported cases.

Objective:To investigate the effectiveness and safety of manual acupuncture for memory loss and sleep quality in chronic insomniacs. Methods:A total of 60 eligible participants were enrolled and randomized into either a treatment group or a control group, with 30 cases in each group. The treatment group was intervened by manual acupuncture whereas the control group was given sham acupuncture. In the two groups, the interventions were offered once every other day and three times a week, for 8 weeks in total. Before and after the treatment,Pittsburgh sleep quality index (PSQI) and eventrelated potentials (ERPs) were used to assess the patients' sleep quality and memory, respectively.Meanwhile, adverse events were monitored and recorded. Results:After 8-week treatment, both the treatment group and the control group showed a significant decrease in the PSQI global score (P<0.001,P<0.01),and the decrease in the treatment group was more significant than that in the control group (P<0.001).The intra-group comparisons of ERPs indicated that, the latencies of N1 and P3 were shortened and the amplitudes of N1 and P3 were increased in the treatment group after the intervention, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05,P<0.001);in the control group, there were no significant changes in the latency and amplitude after the treatment (P>0.05).The between-group comparisons of ERPs showed that the treatment group was more effective than the control group in shortening the latency of P3 (P<0.01).Conclusion:Acupuncture can be a safe and effective treatment option for chronic insomnia coupled with memory impairment.
