Chinese Journal of Clinical Oncology 2016;43(19):860-864
Objective:To investigate the expression of C-X-C chemokine ligand-14 (CXCL14) and epidermal growth factor receptor (EG-FR) in human gastric cancer and to analyze the relationship of CXCL14 with clinicopathological features. Methods:The expression of CXCL14 and EGFR was detected by Immunohistochemical SP method in 121 cases of gastric cancer tissue, 62 cases of the adjacent non-tumor gastric mucosa, and 60 cases of allogeneic non-tumor gastric mucosa. Results:The positive rates of CXCL14 and EGFR expres-sion were 80.17%and 48.76%in gastric cancer, respectively, and both were significantly higher in the adjacent non-tumor gastric mu-cosa and allogeneic non-tumor gastric mucosa. The differences were significant (P<0.01). Overexpression of CXCL14 was closely corre-lated with the depth of cancer invasion, differentiation, and clinical stage, and the differences were significant (P<0.05). Overexpres-sion of EGFR was correlated with cancer differentiation, lymph node metastasis, and clinical stage. The differences were significant (P<0.05). Based on the Spearman correlation analysis, the expression of CXCL14 and EGFR in gastric cancer was positively correlated (rs=0.195, P<0.05). Conclusion:Abnormal CXCL14 expression in gastric cancer may be associated with the occurrence and development of gastric cancer. CXCL14 expression is positively correlated with EGFR expression, suggesting that the two have a synergistic effect in gas-tric cancer development.

Objective To develop a kind of patient transferring trolley with special machinery. Methods A bedplate could upturn and slide both sides for more than one breadth. The trolley's bedrail with special design could be kept from capsizing. Results In the practice of patient transferring, the trolley was safe, steady and laboursaving. Conclusion The trolley is useful for transferring severe patients or patients after operation.

Objective: By observing the differences in Western Ontario and McMaster Universities osteoarthritis index (WOMAC) and visual analog scale (VAS) scores in moxibustion treatment for moderate-to-severe primary knee osteoarthritis (KOA) with moxa of different storage years (3-year moxa and 1-year moxa from Qichun, Huanggang City, Hubei Province, China) through a randomized clinical trial, to objectively evaluate the differences in therapeutic efficacy of moxibustion with moxa of different storage years. Methods: A total of 63 patients with moderate-to-severe KOA who met the inclusion criteria were randomized into moxibustion group 1 and moxibustion group 2 by central randomization method, with 32 cases in moxibustion group 1 and 31 cases in moxibustion group 2. Moxibustion group 1 was treated with moxa stored for 3 years, and moxibustion group 2 was treated with moxa stored for 1 year. Dubi (ST 35), Neixiyan (EX-LE 4) and Heding (EX-LE 2) were selected in both groups, and the treatment lasted 20 min per time, 3 times a week. The immediate efficacy was compared after 6 times of treatment, and long-term efficacy was compared at follow-up 4 weeks after the end of treatment. Results: During the treatment, there were 2 dropouts in moxibustion group 1, and 1 dropout in moxibustion group 2. The total effective rate in the two groups was 83.3% and 60.0%, respectively. Followed up at 4 weeks after the end of treatment, the total effective rate in the two groups was 80.0% and 66.7%, respectively. There were no statistical differences between the two groups (both P>0.05). After treatment and 4 weeks after the end of treatment, the WOMAC and VAS scores in both groups decreased significantly compared with those before treatment (all P<0.01); the scores of stiffness item of WOMAC in moxibustion group 1 were lower than those in moxibustion group 2 (both P<0.05); there were no statistical differences in the scores of pain item and dysfunction item of WOMAC, and VAS scores between the two groups (all P>0.05). Conclusion: Moxibustion with moxa of different storage years (stored for 3 years and 1 year) both can improve the pain, stiffness and motor function in patients with moderate-to-severe KOA. While moxa stored for 3 years has a better therapeutic efficacy in improving stiffness of the knee joint than that stored for 1 year.

Chinese Medical Equipment Journal 2003;0(11):-
This paper is to build a finite element model of brain with a real brain shapeon which simulation studies of electrical impedance tomography EIT in the brain is based. A curve of a real brain shape is simulated with the curve-fitting methods and EIT in the brain is finished with finite-element methods and Equipotential Lines Back-Projection algorithm. The locationarea and amplitude of the change of the resistivity are reconstructed accurately. But the image quality has to be further improved. This paper provides a basis for clinical applications of EIT in brain.

Journal of Clinical Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery 2016;30(3):203-208
OBJECTIVE:
To investigate the long term clinical effect of budesonide treatment in middle meatus for chronic rhinosinusitis(CRS) following endoscopic sinus surgery (ESS).
METHOD:
A total number of 53 patients with CRS received ESS were divided into two groups according to budesonide treatment: budesonide-treated group with 21 cases (39.6%) and control group with 32 cases (60.4%). Gelatin sponges soaked with 1 ml budesonide suspension were put in middle meatus in budesonide-treated group, while only gelatin sponges were put in middle meatus in control group. Visual analogy score (VAS), sino-nasal outcome test-22 (SNOT-22) and Lund-Kennedy endoscopic scale were carried out before ESS and two years after ESS.
RESULT:
In budesonide-treated group, there were a statistical difference before and after ESS in the VAS, SNOT-20 and Lund-Kennedy score (P<. 05). In control group, difference was also significant in VAS, SNOT-20 and Lund-Kennedy score before and after ESS (P < 0.05). The VAS gap of post-operative and pre-operative in two groups are significantly different (P<. 05). However, there was no significant difference in the SNOT-20 and Lund-Kennedy endoscopic scale gap before or after the operation between two groups.
CONCLUSION
It is safe, convenient and practicable to perform budesonide treatment in middle meatus following ESS, which can significantly ease the post-operative discomfort of nose.

Chinese Journal of Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine 2011;31(2):191-194
OBJECTIVETo observe the clinical effects and safety of Xiongshao Capsule (XSC) in treating patients with coronary heart disease angina of Xin-blood stasis syndrome.
METHODSTwo hundred and forty patients were randomized equally into two groups, the treatment group and control group. They were treated with XSC and Xuefu Zhuyu Capsule respectively for 4 weeks. The therapeutic effect on angina pectoris, the dosage of nitroglycerin used and its withdrawal rate were observed, and changes in Chinese medical syndrome, electrocardiogram (ECG), blood lipids, and hemorrheologic figure were observed before and after treatment.
RESULTSThe favorable effects on angina pectoris, ECG, Chinese medical syndromes, and clinical symptoms were observed in the treatment groups, showing significant statistical difference in improving angina pectoris and ECG to the control group (P < 0.05 or P < 0.01).
CONCLUSIONXSC was effective and safe in treating coronary heart disease angina of Xin-blood stasis syndrome.
