Objective To explore the clinical feature of acquired pure amegakdryocytic thrombocytopenic purpura(AATP).Methods 18 patients were analyzed retrospectively. And 112 patients with ITP in the same term were to be control group. Each group's megakaryocytic (MK),platelet (PLT) count, mean platelet volume (MPV) and platelet associated immunoglobulin G(PAIgG) were rested. Results The MK total number of AATP group was obvious decreased or even absent, while the ITP group was increased[(0.8?1.5) vs (195.0?47.3),P0.05).About the PAIgG posi- tive rate,AATP group was 55.6 % while ITP group was 83% (P

Background Primary open angle glaucoma (POAG) is a major blindness-causing disease, characterized by elevated intraocular pressure due to an insufficient outflow of aqueous humor. The trabecular meshwork lining the aqueous outflow pathway modulates the aqueous outflow facility. To study the biological characteristics of the trabecular meshwork cells has important significance. Objective This study was to culture the trabecular cells from primary open-angle glaucomatous eye (POAG) and study the biologic characteristics of passaged cells. Methods The deep scleral tissue with trabecular meshwork was obtained during the trabeculectomy from 8 eyes with POAG. The trabecular cells were primarily cultured and passaged in vitro. The generation 3 cells were identified by immunochemistry with the laminin (LM), fibronectin (FN) and neuron specific endolase (NSE)monoclonal antibodies. The ultrastructure was examined to observe the biological characteristics of the cells under the transmission electronic microscope. The experimental results were compared among POAG group, normal control group and blank control group. Results The primarily cultured POAG trabecular cells migrated from the edge of tissue mass about 10 days. The cells of generation 3 presented the logarithmic phase in the first 4 days and fused in the 7th day. FN,LM and NSE were positively expressed in the generated cells in POAG group and normal control group rather than blank control group. The MOD values of the generation 3 cells for FN in POAG group and normal control group were 0. 35 ± 0.06 and 0. 26 ± 0. 01, and those for LM were 0. 34 ± 0. 03 and 0. 25 ± 0. 02 respectively, showing statistically significant difference between these two groups ( FN: t = 14. 446, P<0.001; LM: t = 9. 346, P<0. 001 ). The microvilli, cytolysosome and phagocytic vesicle were obviously decreased in the trabcular cells of POAG group compared with normal control group under the transmission electron microscope. Conclusion The trabecular meshwork cells from POAG can be successfully cultured and passaged in vitro. It provides a cytology basis for further glaucoma research.

Objective To explore the diagnostic value of the quantitative detection of plasma miRNA-125b and miRNA-133b in children with asthma. Methods Thirty asthmatic patients were enrolled in this study and collected the blood specimens during acute phase and stable phase respectively (AP group and SP group).Thirty allergic rhinitis children (AR group) and thirty healthy children were recruited to the control group (NC group). The levels of miRNA in different groups were detected by qRT-PCR.The performance of miRNA-125b and miRNA-133b were evaluated by receiver operating characteristic curves (ROC) and the area under the curve (AUC) (95%CI).Results The relative expression of miRNA-125b in AP group and SP group were significantly higher than A R group (t=3.913,3.120,P<0.01),miRNA-133b.In AP group and AR group the expression of miRNA-133b were significantly higher than control group (t=4.426,4.720,P<0.01).The detection of miRNA-125b yielded an area under the curve of ROC of 0.7989,(95 % CI:0.7111~ 0.8864) in discriminating asthmatic patients from healthy group. And the miRNA-133b was 0.7274 (95%CI:0.586 5~0.863 0) in discriminating asthmatic patients during the acute phase from healthy group. Conclusion The relative expression of miRNA-125b in children with asthma was significantly higher than that in AR group and NC group,miRNA-125b may prove to be a non-invasive biomarker for the auxiliary diagnosis of asthma especially when the relative expression up to 1.998.

Objective To investigate the value of contrast enhanced ultrasonography in evaluating cystic renal mass. Methods According to the imaging diagnosing standard, 29 cystic renal mass lesions were studied with contrast enhanced ultrasonography(CEUS), unenhanced ultrasonography (US), contrast enhanced CT(CECT) and then correlated their results with final histopathological results. The data were tested by receiver operating characteristic(ROC) curve. Results The area under ROC curve of CEUS and US was 0. 721, 0. 997, respectively. There was significant difference between the 2 groups (P=0. 003). The area under ROC curve of CEUS and CECT was 0. 997, 0. 997,respectively. There was no significant difference between the 2 groups (P= 1. 000). Conclusions CEUS is better than US and similar to CECT in evaluating cystic renal mass. CEUS with the Bosniak classification is useful for evaluating cystic renal mass.
