AIM:To investigate the influence of pinellia heart-draining Decoction, Licorice heart-draining Decoction, Fresh ginger heart-draining Decoction and its dismantlements on the amount of gastric mucus in rats. METHODS:20 different combination of Banxiaxiexin Decoction and its analogus according to the unform design layout, the amount of gastric mucus in rats was determinated. Stepwise regression analysis was adopted to estimate the relationship between the pharmacological data and compatibility. RESULTS:Rhizoma Coptidis could reduce the amount of gastric mucus remarkbably, the interaction of Rhizoma Pinelliae、Fructus Ziziphi Jujubae and Radix Glycyrrhizae could increase the amount of gastric mucus, and interaction was confirmed among different medicinal ingredients in prescription. CONCLUSION:Uniform design provides a referable exeperimental design for studying analogus decoction compatibility law.

Objective To evaluate the health-related quality of life (HRQOL) for prostate cancer patients receiving androgen deprivation therapy (ADT).Methods We studied 200 patients with prostate cancer who were treated with primary ADT in Peking University People's Hospital from June 2014 to June 2015.The patients'average age was 73.9 years. The mean PSA level was 21.57 ng/ml when they were diagnosed with prostate cancer.Of these 200 patients,79% (158/200) were localized and seclected ADT therapy due to age, body condition, basic diseases or individual will.21% (42/200) were locally advanced or metastasic, which accord with the indication of ADT therapy. The scales, including the MOS item short from health survey (SF-36),Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy-General module (FACT-G),Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy-Prostate instrument (FACT-P),Self-Rating Depression Scale (SDS) and Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) were used to evaluate their HRQOL.Results According to results of SF36,the physical health component score and mental health component score was 67.41 ± 16.39 and 64.81 ± 17.51,respectively.They indicated that the overall quality of life of these patients was at an acceptable level. And the average score of all domains exceeded 60 except general health domain, which the score was only 40.03 ± 21.89.When it comes to FACT-P,the sum score, emotional well-being score and prostate cancer component score were 8.15 ± 3.72,12.30 ± 4.04 and 77.41 ± 9.95,respectively,which were less than half of their respective top score. However the physical well-being score was 20.41 ±4.29,which was a relatively satisfactory value. In addition,61% (121/200) patient selected not at all in item I am able to have and keep an erection. The score of SDS and SAS was 46.76 ± 8.29 and 43.25 ±9.69,respectively.And there were 23.0% (46/200) and 21.5% (43/200) patiens exhibited depression and anxiety, respectively. Conclusion In the present study, the prostate cancer patients receiving ADT showed acceptable HRQOL,but some patients sufferd from depression, anxiety and erectile dysfunction.

Objective To investigate the current situation of the prevention and contml of iodine deficiency disorders(IDD)in Hubei Province,SO as to provide a policy.making basis for controlling work of IDD. Methods Using the method of proportional population sampling(PPS),30 eounties were seiected in Hubei Province. In each selected county,1 primary school was chosen. In every primary school,40 pupil8 aged 8~10 years were selected to examine thyroid size, intelligent quotient(IQ),and salt iodine contents at their home.In the selected pupils,2 boys and 2 girls were chosen to determine their urinary iodine contents in each age grouD.Twenty pupils in the above school and 5 housewives ileal"to this school were tested in health education questionnaire. Results The median of salt iodine was 30.1 mg/kg,and the rate of comsuming qualified iodized salt was 96.2% (1154/1200).The rates ofchild goiter were 6.5%(78/1200)by palpation and 4.1%(49/1200)by B ultrasound. The median of urinary iodine Was 358.4μg/L and mean of the IQ was 105.3±14.4.The rate of qualified scores of both students and housewives Was 25.5%(153/600)、90.7%(136/150).Conclusions The current Bituation of iedine nutrition is good. The goal of eliminating IDD has been achieved in Hubei Province.

ObjectiveTo analyze the effect of temporal distance parameters on comfortable and maximal walking speed of hemiplegic stroke patients.MethodsThe comfortable and maximal walking speed of 85 hemiplegic stroke patients were tested by 10 m walking speed and temporal distance parameters of gait cycle were obtained. The effect of step length and walking rate on comfortable and maximal walking speed was analyzed.ResultsStep length and walking rate were significantly positive related to comfortable and maximal walking speed (r=0.849-0.915,P<0.001).The step regression analysis selected step length as a significant variable for comfortable and maximal walking speed (R2=0.835,R2=0.827,respectively). ConclusionThe important parameter that influences comfortable and maximal walking speed of hemiplegic stroke patients is step length.

OBJECTIVETo study the role of T suppressor cells in immune tolerance to cardiac allografts in the rats.
METHODSMale DA rat hearts were transplanted to male Lewis rats using Ono's model and randomly divided into five groups: group 1: untreated, group 2: portal venous injection of 3 x 10(8) DA splenocytes to Lewis rat, group 3: intraperitoneal injection of cyclophosphamide (80 mg/kg) to Lewis rat, group 4: portal venous injection of 3 x 10(8) DA splenocytes combined with intraperitoneal injection of cyclophosphamide (80 mg/kg) to Lewis rat, 15 days later heart transplantation was performed. Group 5: intravenous injection 3 (108 splenocytes of group 4 to normal recipient, and then heart transplantation was performed. Mean survival time (MST), histological changes, mixed lymphocyte reaction (MLR) were measured after operation.
RESULTSThe survival time of heart allografts in the group 4 [MST: (71.5 +/- 29.1) d, t = -14.063, -13.915, -13.777; P < 0.01] was significantly longer than in the groups of 1 [MST: (7.3 +/- 1.0) d], 2 [MST: (7.8 +/- 0.8) d], 3 [MST: (8.2 +/- 1.1) d ]. Only a few inflammatory cells infiltrated in cardiac allografts in the groups of 4 and 5. MLR in the groups of 4 and 5 were significantly decreased compared with those of normal control (t = 29.902, 23.047; P < 0.01).
CONCLUSIONSPortal venous injection of donor splenocytes combined with intraperitoneal injection of cyclophosphamide could induce immune tolerance to cardiac allografts. The immune tolerance could be transferred through splenocytes. T suppressor cells play an important role in the immune tolerance.
