Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 1986;0(04):-
Cardiotoxic effects of adriamycin were investigated in cultured heart cells. Three-day cultured myocardial cells were treated with the different doses of adriamycin (0.3mg/L, 1 mg/L, 3 mg/L) , and incubated in verieus times times ( 4 h, 8 h, 24h ) , and, then the content of lactate dehydrogenase ( LDH ) in media and malondialdehyde ( MDA ) in cells were measured. The results showed that the content of LDH in media increased with the time in culture. The content of LDH in media and MDA in cells increased markedly with the increase in adriamycin concentration. It suggested that the adriamycin has direct damage to myocardial cells, which is time-dependent and dose-dependent.

Chinese Journal of Geriatrics 2001;0(01):-
Objective To observe the BMD threshold of hip fracture in the elderly, analyze the pre-imposing factors leading to femoral neck fracture or intertrochanteric fracture, and provide some evidences for fracture prevention. Methods The BMD examination were performed on 496 fractured patients over 60 years old which were grouped after admission according to their age, gender and fracture types, and then the results were statistically analyzed. Results The BMD of fracture cases in the elderly over 60 years old was 2.5 s less than peak bone volume. There is no obvious difference in BMD between femoral neck fracture and intertrochanteric fracture among various age groups. According to our study, most hip fractures happened at the age of 60-79 years, accounting for 73%of all hip fractures. Conclusions Decreased bone mass or osteoporosis is an important factor leading to hip fracture in the elderly. The fracture types (femoral neck fracture or intertrochanteric fracture) depend mainly on the impaction force to the hip, not only on the BMD change.

Objective To evaluate the effect of peer educatio n program by the application of the peer education on human immunodeficiency vir us/aeguired immune deficiency syndrome(HIV/AIDS) prevention and the analysis of the change on knowledge, attitude and behavior about HIV/AIDS among technical sc hool students in Shanghai. Methods Three technical schools in Shanghai were selected randomly. Two classes of each school were selected randomly as education group and the students added up to 284.Two hundred and sixty-one students of another 2 classes in each school were selected as the interior control group. Some freshmen came from medical un iversity were carefully trained as peer educators to conduct the education inclu ding 6 models. The same questionnaires were carried before and after the educati on in both groups. Results After peer education the score of average knowledge abo ut reproductive health, HIV/AIDS, STD was significantly higher than before (P 0.05). Conclusions The conduction of the peer education on HIV/AIDS pr evention among technical school students is effective in promoting the knowledge level, but the change of attitude and behavior is a long term. So we highly adv ocate that not only the health education for HIV/AIDS especially safe sex shall be given and strengthened among technical school students in order to promote t he notion of self-protection but also the conception of care others especially t he HIV/AIDS. AIM: To investigate the alterations of tear film after sutureless large incision manual cataract extraction (SLIMCE). METHODS: Sixty-eight SLIMCE operation eyes were studied with slit-limp microscope, break- up time (BUT), SchirmmerⅠtest (SⅠt),and fluorescence(FL) to observe the alterations of tear film at different time points in postoperation. Impression cytology and microphoto-analyses technique were also applied to observe the goblet cells at different time points postoperation(7,14,30,60,90 days). RESULTS: Subjective complaint of dry eye within 90 days after the operations were significantly increased compare with preoperations(5-27,23,19,16,13; 2-16,14,8,6,3). The schirmmer Ⅰ test were greatly increased in 14 days postoperation(10.1±4.5;15.0±4.7,13.8±5.7),the mean scores of fluorescence increased (0-17,9,5;0-8,3,1) and the mean break-up time decreased in 30 days post-operation(10.3±2.2;5.5±2.3,7.0±2.4,7.9±2.2) (P<0.05). CONCLUSION: SLIMCE operation have effect on the stability of tear film.

OBJECTIVETo study the expression of lipoprotein related genes in subchondral bone of early experimental os-teoarthritis, which may play an important role in the pathogenesis of osteoarthritis.
METHODSAnimals are equally divided into two groups: experimental group and control group, both of which contain fifteen rats of similar weight. The right knee joints of experimental group underwent surgery, which involved in both medial collateral ligament(MCL) transaction and medial meniscectomy, while the control group was only carried out with a sham operation. Rats were killed at 1, 2 and 4 weeks postsurgery to obtain the right knee joints. Total RNA of the subchondral bone was extracted, and then hybridized to Agilent Whole Rat Genome Microarray. Differentially expressed genes analysis was used to study the chemokine signaling pathway.
RESULTSApoa5 expression was down-regulated at 1, 2 weeks post-surgery, Apoc2 expression was up-regulated at 1 week after surgery, Apol3 expression was up-regulated at 1 and down-regulated at 4 weeks post-surgery, Lrp1 expression was down-regulated at 1, 2 weeks after surgery. Lrp5 was down-regulated at 2 weeks after surgery. Gpihbp1, Lpl, Tfpi and Vldlr were up-regulated at 1 weeks after surgery. Lrpap1 and RGD1309808 were down-regulated at 4 weeks after surgery.
CONCLUSIONDysregulation of lipoprotein related genes plays an important role in pathogenesis of early experimental osteoarthritis.

Journal of Forensic Medicine 2016;32(1):18-25
OBJECTIVE:
To observe the expression of aquaporin 4 (AQP4) in diffuse brain injury (DBI) of rats and to explore the corresponding effect of AQP4 for brain edema.
METHODS:
The rat model of DBI was established using Marmarou's impact-compression trauma model. Brain water content was measured by dry-wet weight method. Blood-brain barrier permeability was evaluated by Evans blue (EB) staining. Immunohistochemical method was used to observe the expression of AQP4.
RESULTS:
Brain water content increased after 3 h and peaked at 24 h after DBI. Brain EB content significantly increased and peaked at 12 h after DBI. The expression of AQP4 significantly increased after 3 h and peaked at 24 h after DBI, and the number of AQP4 positive astrocytes increased.
CONCLUSION
The increment of the permeability of blood-brain barrier and the expression of AQP4 may contribute to the development of brain edema in rat DBI. The change of AQP4 expression in astrocytes may also contribute to determine DBI.
