ObjectiveTo investigate the effect of atorvastatin on hypercholesterolemia and endothelium-dependent vasodilatation.Methods42 hypercholesterolemic patients took atorvastatin for 8 weeks, and serum cholesterol was measured before and after the treatment. High-resolution ultrasound endothelium-dependent vasodilatation was measured in hypercholesterolemic group before and after the treatment, with 40 healthy subjects as the control group.ResultsThe flow-induced dilation of the brachial artery of hypercholesterolemic group was (3.66±0.72)% much reduced compared with that of the control subjects (13.18±1.23)% (P<0.001). After 8 weeks treated by atorvastatin 10～20 mg/d, flow-induced dilation of the brachial artery of hypercholesterolemic group increased to (10.98±1.57)% much improved (P<0.001), and serum cholesterole declined from (7.11±0.70) mmol/L to ( 5.86±0.59) mmol/L (P<0.01).ConclusionHypercholesterolemic patients have endothelium-dependent vasodilatation dysfunction, atorvastatin not only reduces cholesterole but also recovers endothelium vasodilatation function.

Objective To explore the effects of endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress in the hyperoxia-induced lung injury in premature rats. Methods Forty-eight premature Wistar rats were randomized into two groups 12 hours after birth:hyperoxia group (n=24) inhaled 95%oxygen and control group (n=24) inhaled air. Eight rats were sacriifced in each group on day 1, 3, 7 after the treatment and the left lungs were embedded. The pathological changes in the HE stained sections of lung tissues were observed. The expressions of ER related protein ERp57 and c/EBP homologous protein CHOP were detected by immuno histo-chemistry and the apoptosis of lung cells was detected by TUNEL analysis. Results The typical pathological characteristics of acute lung injury were observed in hyperoxia group. The expressions of ERp57 and CHOP were increased with the exposure time in hyperoxia group, and were signiifcantly higher than in control group (P<0.05). The apoptosis rate of lung cells in hyperoxia group was signiifcantly higher than in control group (P<0.01). There was signiifcant positive correlation between cell apoptosis index and expressions of Erp57 and c/EBP homogeneous protein. Conclusions ER stress initiated apoptosis participates and plays an important role in the process of hyperoxia-induced lung injury in premature rats.

Objective To explore the correlations of adult attachment with interpersonal conflict resolu-tions styles and differences between soldiers and employees. Methods Relationship questionnaire (RQ),experi-ence in close relationships (ECR),and Rahim handling interpersonal conflict inventory (ROCI-II) were adminis-tered to 543 employees from different enterprises in Beijing and Liaoning province and 701 soldiers. Results The results suggested the distribution of adult attachment style between soldiers and employees were significantly differ-ent. Compared with employees, there were higher dismissing hat lower secure rate in soldier sample. On handling interpersonal conflict strategy indices, such as integrating, avoiding, dominating and obliging but not compromising (t_((1120))=1.97, P<0.05), there were no significant differences between soldiers and employees. Only on in-tegrating, there were significant ditterenees among four adult attachment styles (F_((3,1009))=10.18, P<0.001).Attachment avoidance had a significantly negative correlation with integrating, obliging and compromising (r=-0.31,-0.11,-0.13 respectively), while attachment anxiety had moderate but significant correlations with a-voiding, dominating and obliging and compromising (r=0. 16,0.35, 0.35, 0.39, 0.30 respectively). Conclu-sion Adult attachment is closely related to handling interpersonal conflict strategies, and there was difference on compromising between soldiers and employees.

Objective To compare intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) and coronary angiography in measuring the lumen diameter and coronary arteries stenosis rate, to investigate the impact of IVUS in the choice of surgical indications, surgical procedure guidance and effects of operation.Methods The patients who underwent percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI) therapy from may 2013 to may 2014 were divided into IVUS-guided intervention therapy group (n=89) and coronary angiographyguided group (n=90).Their baseline parameters, lesion features, MACE and restenosis during follow-up were analyzed.Results Baseline clinical and angiographic characterisitcs were well matched and show no significant differences between the two groups.Compared to angiography-guided group, the minimum lumen diameter (MLD) of IVUS-guided group were higher, diameter stenosis (DS) and lesion length (LL) were lower in IVUS-guided intervention therapy group.The detection rate of calcified and eccentric lesion were significantly higher in IVUS-guided group.There were 204 (93.6 ％) and 195 (87.8％) high-pressure balloons used in post-inflation in two groups, respectively.The MLD and plaque burden of IVUS-guided group were obviously improved after stent implantation.Conclusions IVUS-guided intervention therapy in PCI is safe and effective, may be helpful for the judgment of lesion, evaluating stent implantation and guiding high-pressure balloon post-inflation.IVUS-guided intervention could get the bigger immediate lumen diameter and lower plaque burden than coronary angiography without serious short-term or long-term complications.

Objective To describe the distribution of body mass index (BMI) and evaluate the prevalence of overweight and obesity among first to sixth graders in 8 Chinese provinces.Methods Data came from the baseline survey of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) funded project Study on Intervention Models for Main Chronic Diseases among children in China.A stratified random cluster sampling strategy was used to select study participants in 8 provinces,including Inner Mongolia,Jiangsu,Anhui,Shandong,Hunan,Guangxi,Gansu provinces,and Chongqing,with diverse geographical and economic level distributions in China.Counties in each province were stratified into three strata according to economic level,and one county was selected systematically from each stratum.In each county,one urban and one rural elementary school were randomly selected ; and in each school,2-3 classes were randomly selected from each of 1-6 grades.All students in these selected classes were invited for participation.Physical examination was performed by trained local CDC staff using standardized instruments to measure height and weight.Overweight and obesity were diagnosed based on the BMI classification standards for Chinese children and adolescents by Working Group for Obesity in China (WGOC).Results A total of 26558(14225 boy,12333 girl) students aged 6-12 years eventually participated in 8 provinces.The average age was 9.3 ±1.8 years old.Mean BMI among boys (17.0 kg/m2) was higher than that among girls (16.4 kg/m2,t =19.60,P＜0.01).There were statistically significant differences in mean BMI of each age group of boys and 6-11 age groups of girls between urban and rural regions and among those with three economic levels (P＜0.05).The 85th and 95th percentiles of BMI among boys aged 7-11 years in urban region were higher than BMI reference in the standards from WGOC.Lower percentiles were observed among girls aged 7-12 years in rural region.The prevalence of overweight and obesity were 9.3％ and 6.5％ among schoolchildren aged 7-12 years.The prevalence of overweight among boys (10.9％) was higher than that among girls(7.6％,x2 =88.89,P＜0.01) ; while prevalence of obesity were 8.0％ among boys and4.7％ among girls,respectively (x2 =107.17,P＜0.01).The prevalence of overweight was 11.3％ in urban and 7.4％ in rural children(x2 =131.94,P＜0.01).The prevalence of obesity was 8.7％ in urban and 4.3％ in rural children(x2 =188.99,P＜0.01).The prevalences of overweight were 10.3％,8.6％ and 9.0％ in individuals with high,medium,and low economic levels,respectively(x2 =10.76,P＜0.01) ; while the prevalences of obesity were 8.2％,5.6％,and 5.4％,respectively (x2 =51.71,P ＜ 0.01).Conclusions The overall prevalence of overweight and obesity in Chinese school children was high.The prevalence in urban region with high economic level was significantly higher than that in rural region with middle and low economic level.The nutritional and behavioral intervention programs are needed to control the rising trend of obesity in children.

Objective To explore the association between HLA-A and B alleles and alopecia areata.Methods HLA-A and-B alleles were studied by LABTypeTM SSO in 44 patients with alopecia areata and 200 healthy controls.Results The frequencies of HLA-A＊11（χ2=6.08,P 〈 0.05）,HLA-B＊13（χ2=29.80,P 〈 0.01）,HLA-B＊40（χ2=8.04,P 〈 0.01）,HLA-B＊46（χ2=5.86,P 〈 0.05）and HLA-B＊51（χ2=8.82,P 〈 0.01）alleles were significantly increased in alopecia areata patients compared with the control.Conclusion HLA-A＊11,HLA-B＊13,HLA-B＊40,HLA-B＊46 and HLA-B＊51 might be the susceptible alleles of the patients with alopecia areata.

The methylation status of GNAS1 gene in pseudohypoparathyroidism type Ib patients was detected by methylation-specific PGR technique. There was an abnormal methylation of 1A region in all seven PHPIb patients. Loss of exon 1A methylation (imprinting defect) seems to be the cause of PHPIb.

OBJECTIVE: Through preoperative temporary balloon occlusion of internal carotid artery and monitoring of carotid artery stump pressure variation, in order to further predict the risk of carotid artery ligation and resection, evaluation operative risk and provides the reference for the choice of surgical approach. METHOD: Continuous monitoring and recording the carotid artery stump return pressure,before clamping and in the process of blocking, close observation the patients mental state and the nervous systemof all kinds of signs, in the process of blocking, to understand the dynamic change of stump artery pressure return in patients and whether can the smooth passage of carotid artery balloon occlusion test. RESULT: Of the 19 patients, 4 cases were positive, 15 negative cases, Blocking immediate the positive patients and negative patients with stump pressure drop was (57. 35 ± 1. 89) % and (38. 99 ± 12. 23) %, with statistical significance between the two, in the process of blocking, the mean stump pressure of the positive patients and the negative patients was (37. 29 ± 3. 15) mmHg and (61. 36 ± 14. 69) mmHg, with statistical significance between the two. CONCLUSION Approximately 21. 05% of patients can not tolerate carotid artery balloon occlusion test, theory for carotid artery reconstruction operation. After blocking the stump pressure is less than 40. 44 mmHg, the theory for reconstruction of the internal carotid artery operation. Blocking instant artery stump pressure dropped more than 55. 46%, in theory the need for internal carotid artery reconstruction.

OBJECTIVE: To screen the AFLP primers with good diversity to distinguish various species of Cannabis. METHODS: The AFLP was used to analyze the genetic diversity of 12 species of Cannabis using 55 primer combinations. RESULTS: A total of 285 AFLP bands were obtained using five primer combinations with better diversity, among which 99 bands were polymorphic and 10 bands were special, with 47-76 bands amplified in each pair of primers. CONCLUSION AFLP may has good resolution in the diversity study of Cannabis. It may provide an essential basis for further study of the genetic diversity of Cannabis.
