Many kinds of small heat shock proteins (sHSPs) are able to prevent protein aggregation in stress, which show the ATP independent chaperone-like activity. The smallest protein HSP12.1 in sHSP family of the nematode Caenorhabditis elegans exhibits chaperone-like activities in vitro. It prevents protein aggregation in a certain extent when use insulin, ADH and lysozyme as the substrates, though it is not as efficient as the typical chaperones (such as HSP16.1 in C. elegans). By contrast, the other three sHSP12s (HSP12.2, HSP12.3 and HSP12.6), which have similar molecular masses and primary structure, appear devoid of in vitro chaperone-like activities. In addition, overexpressing HSP12.1 enhances cell thermotolerance of Escherichia coli. The survival rate of the HSP12.1 overexpressed cells is 4-fold higher than the control, yet whether it does the same function in C. elegans is still unknown. Results indicate that C-terminal region is not necessary for the chaperone-like activity of sHSPs, for HSP12.1 terminates a short C-terminal tail. N-terminal domain may play a relatively important role in the exhibition of chaperone-like activities, while ?-crystalline domain may also involve in this function.

Objective To investigate the value of MR intravoxel incoherent motion (IVIM)imaging and dynamic susceptibility contrast-enhanced(DSC)perfusion imaging in astrocytoma grading.Methods 22 patients with high grade astrocytoma and 28 patients with low grade astrocytoma underwent conventional MRI and IVIM,DSC scanning before operation.Parameters of IVIM included standard diffusion coefficient(ADCstandard ),slow diffusion coefficient(D),fast diffusion coefficient(D? ),fractional perfusion-related volume (f)values,and parameters of DSC included relative blood volume(rCBV),relative blood flow(rCBF)values of tumor solid part were measured quantitatively.The values between the two groups were compared by two samples t-test.By using ROC curve to evaluate the diagnostic efficacy of using IVIM and DSC alone or jointly.Results The ADCstandard ,D,rCBV,rCBF values of tumor solid part had significant differences between the groups(P<0.01).The D? and f values were no significant differences (P=0.130,P=0.379).The area under the ROC curve of the values showed that ADCstandard (0.823),D(0.854),rCBV(0.858),rCBF(0.871),D+rCBV(0.952),D+rCBF(0.953).Conclusion The D,rCBV,rCBF values are helpful to determine the grade of astrocytomas.The use of IVIM in combination with DSC may improve the diagnostic accuracy of astrocytoma grading.

Objective To explore the clinical effects of enema combined with massage therapy on jaundice in premature infants.Methods Seventy-five premature infants with jaundice were randomly divided into 3 groups,enema combined message therapy group(group A),abdominal massage therapy group(group B),and double-side phototherapy group(group C).All 3 groups were received the same formula fee-ding,intravenous nutrition and identical drug treatment.Group A was given enema with mixed kaiselu and normal saline together with 60 times clockwise abdominal massage once a day for 2 weeks.Group B only received abdominal massage twice per day for 2 weeks.Transcutaneous bilirubin(TB) indexes of all the premature infants in the 3 groups were detected and transformed into total TB concentrations every morning,through version of MINOLTA JM-102 transcutaneous bilirubin radiometer made in Japan.When TB index counted more than 196.58 ?mol/L,group A and B were given single-side phototherapy for 24 hours.Neither enema nor abdominal massage was given to group C,and double-side phototherapy was applied when TB indexes were above 196.58 ?mol/L.Daily TB indexes,duration of jaundice and phototherapy,time of meconium exhaustion,defecation times in each day,incidence of constipation and feeding intolerance were recorded.Results Duration of jaunhospitalized and phototherapy were significantly shortened in group A compared with those of the other groups.In 34 premature infants who were hospital for at least 2 weeks,TB indexes in group C were lower than those in group B on the 9th day.On the 12th day and the 14th day,TB indexes in group A and C were lower than those in group B(Pa

Objective To investigate the clinical effect and the prospect of Infliximab in treatment of intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG)-resistant Kawasaki disease (KD) patients.Methods Clinical features,inflammatory markers and coronary changes were observed in 2 cases of IVIG-resistant KD patients hospitalized in Peking University First Hospital,who were treated effectively by Infliximab.Relevant researches on the mechanism and progress of the Infliximab treatment for IVIG-resistant KD in the last 10 years were reviewed at the same time.Results Two KD patients hospitalized in Peking University First Hospital had been treated with 2 g/kg IVIG for 2 times and followed by methylprednisolone treatment.However,fever and other clinical manifestations occurred again after 2 days and 6 days when temperature returned normal.They both defervesced and all the symptoms were improved after 1 dose of Infliximab (5 mg/kg) by laboratory examinations.Four published literatures of the basic research and 9 retrospective or prospective clinical researches of Infliximab treatment of KD showed that Infliximab alleviated the inflammatory level in the KD patients significantly.Complete remission was up to 72.73％-92.11％.Those KD patients defervesced within 12 h,with dramatic improvement of symptoms and signs.Arthralgia also disappeared in the patients with arthritis.Only 1 case was complicated with hepatitis in the acute phase and cholecystitis in recovery time.A phase 3 randomised,double-blinded,placebo-controlled trial had been done to assess the addition of Infliximab to the standard therapy.Conclusions Infliximab is a feasible choice for IVIG-resistant KD patients.Efficacy and safety of Infliximab for KD treatment have been proved in the literature.However,Infliximab for KD treatment has not been indicated in the drug instruction,so the informed consent from the guardians and Ethics Committee is needed.

This study aims to investigate the relationship between odor and contents of the chemical compounds in Lonicera japonica, including chlorogenic acid, galuteolin and polyphenols. High performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) was applied to determine the contents of chlorogenic acid and galuteolin in L. japonica. The ponptent of polyphenols was determined by UV-Vis Spectrophotometry. Electronic nose was used to extract and measure the odor of L. japonica. Then SPSS 17.0 software was employed for data processing. There is a significant positive correlation between the comprehensive index value of aroma and the contents of chlorogenic acid and polyphenols. The regression equations have been established. However, the relationship between the comprehensive index value and the content of galuteolin is not obvious. This is proof that the odor of L. japonica has close connection with the chemical compounds. Objective To analyze the research status and hotspot of occupational methanol poisoning at home and abroad. Methods ， The China National Knowledge Resource Database Wanfang Data Knowledge Service Platform and Web of Science were used as the data sources. The relevant literatures on occupational methanol poisoning published in domestic and foreign ， Results journals up to June 30 2021 were searched. The bibliometrics was used to analyzed the literatures. A total of 255 literatures were included in analysis. There were 187 Chinese articles and 68 English articles. Most of Chinese articles were ， ， published from 2001 to 2005 with an average of 26.7 literatures per five years until June 2021. Among them 72 literatures （ ）， ， were published in core journals 38.5% and 176 authors from 27 provinces autonomous regions and municipality directly ， under the central government published relevant literatures. ObjectiveTo observe clinical results and histopathological changes of scleral defect repaired with acellular xenogenic dermal matrix (Xeno-ADM) in rabbits.MethodsModel of rabbit sclera defect was established, and repaired with Xeno-ADM. The rabbits were clinically examined for inflammation and eyeball healing. The animals were sacrificed at 2nd and 4th week after operation, and implants were obtained and examined histopathologyically and ultrastructully with light microscopies respectively to evaluating changes of inflammation and vascularization.ResultsThere were no obvious inflammation and eyeball deformation observed. 2 weeks after implantation, the partial inflammatory cell invasion was seen with the light microscopy, and there was an obvious borderline between the Xeno-ADM and the sclera. 4 weeks after implantation, the inflammatory cells were reduced noticeably, the Xeno-ADM and the sclera completely merged with each other.ConclusionThe acellular xenogenic dermal matrix may be an ideal materix with fast neovascularization and low immunity for replace of sclera implants.

Objective To investigate the distribution and antimicrobial susceptibility of the bacteria isolated from bloodstream infections during 2013-2014 in Changhai Hospital for rational use of antibacterial agents.Methods The bacterial strains from blood samples were collected during the period from January 2013 through December 2014,and subjected to antimicrobial susceptibility testing by using automated system or Kirby-Bauer method.The results were interpreted according to CLSI M100-S24 breakpoints or FDA breakpoints.The data were analyzed by WHONET 5.6 software.Results A total of 1 048 nonduplicate isolates were collected,of which Escherichia coli,coagulase-negative Staphylococcus (CNS) and Klebsiella pneumoniae accounted for 29.5％,15.8％ and 13.8％,respectively.Gastroenterology,Hematology,General surgery,Urology and Department of Infectious Diseases are the top 5 departments according to their total number of bacterial isolates.The results of antimicrobial susceptibility testing showed that ESBLs-producing E.coli and K.pneumoniae accounted for 63.8％ and 38.6％,respectively.The prevalence of methicillinresistant CNS (MRCNS) was 77.6％.The E.coli strains isolated from Urology showed higher resistance rates to cephalosporins than the total E.coli strains,while the E.coli strains isolated from Gastroenterology showed higher resistance rates to betalactarn/beta-lactamase inhibitor combinations and carbapenems than the total E.coli strains.Higher prevalence of MRCNS was found in departments of Hematology,Urology and Neurosurgery.All the CNS strains isolated from Neurosurgery were resistant to methicillin.The K.pneumoniae strains isolated from Bum ICU had higher resistance rates to all the antibacterial agents tested than the total K.pneumoniae strains,while the K.pneumoniae strains isolated from Gastroenterology showed higher resistance rates to carbapenems and tigecycline than the total K.pneumoniae strains.Conclusions The pathogenic bacteria isolated from bloodstream infections vary with departments in terms of species distribution and antimicrobial susceptibility profile.It is necessary to strengthen the surveillance of antimicrobial resistance in hospital for rational use of antibiotics.
