Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2010;17(6):738-739
Objective To study the relationship between plasma B-type natriuretic peptide(BNP) and the elderly patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (AF). Methods The levels of plasma BNP in period of attack and cardioversion of the elderly patients with (AF)( n=45) were measured by immunofluorescence method ,and the tert results were compared with the healthy control group ( n = 30). Echocardiography was used to measure LAD and LVEF. Results The levels of plasma BNP in period of attack and cardioversion of AF group were significant higher than that in control group (P < 0. 05 ), and the period of attack was significant higher than that in the period of cardioversion(P < 0. 05); LVEF, LAD in period of attack and cardioversion of AF group were significant higher than that in control group(P < 0. 05). Conclusion High concentrations of plasma BNP level may promote the attack of AF,and they are associated closely with atrial remodeling and cardiac function.

Journal of Practical Stomatology 2015;(3):357-359
Objective:To compare the marginal microleakage of class V cavity restored with composite resin by 3 different methods. Methods:Class Ⅴ cavity was prepared in 36 human third molars, the teeth were randomly divided into 3 groups(n =1 2)and were repaired with common Z350 resin,pre-heated Z350 resin and Z350 resin inlay, respectively. After thermal cycling for 500 times the teeth were immersed in fuchsin solution for 24 h.Then the samples were sectioned longitudinally and examined for leakage under stereomicroscope. Results:The microleakage of cavity restoration by pre-heated Z350 resin and Z350 resin inlay was significantly low-er than that of the direct restoration with Z350 resin(P≤0.05).No significant difference was found between the groups of pre-heated Z350 resin and Z350 resin inlay. Conclusion:Marginal microleakage of Z350 resin restoration can be decreased by preheating of the resin.
9.The value of procalcitonin in the diagnosis and treatment of infective endocarditis patients
Chinese Journal of Emergency Medicine 2013;22(8):907-911
Objective To evaluate the role of procalcitonin (PCT) in the diagnosis and treatment of infective endocarditis (IE).Methods It was a retrospective study of 20 cases diagnosed as IE with positive culture between June 2010 and June 2012 of First Affiliated Hospital of China Medical University,Department of Infectious Diseases. Results The concentration of C-Reactive Protein (CRP) and PCT in the dead group recorded on the first day and the fifth day in the treatment was significant higher than the survival group. The decreased degree of CRP and PCT concentration after treatment in the dead group was much deeper than the survival group. Moreover, the concentration of CRP and PCT in Staphylococcus aureus IE and negative bacilli IE were significant higher than Streptococcus viridans IE or Enterococcus faecalis IE,which was commonly above 2 μg/ml level. Conclusions Serum procalcitonin, lined with CRP,has the similar significance in the assessment of infective endocarditis severity, however,PCT is slightly better than CRP in assessing prognosis. The concentration of procalcitonin has implications to the strains of IE pathogen,in the mean time,it' s beneficial to guide the early use of antibiotics.

Objective To investigate the risk factors of albuminuria in type 2 diabetes nephropathy patients. Methods 870 hospitalized patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus were included in the study. The patients were divided into normal buminuria group (n = 634) and persistent albuminuria group (n = 236) according to the 24h urinary albumin excretion. Diabetic chronic complication and related biochemical indicators were analyzed. Independent risk factors associated with diabetic nephropathy were analyzed. Results The differences in duration of diabetes, age, SBP, DBP, Hb, HbA1C, UA, TG, CHOL-C, HDL-C, diabetic retinopathy (DR), cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease were statistically significant between two groups (P < 0.01). Regression analysis showed that independent risk factors of albuminuria of DN included duration of diabetes, SBP, Hb, UA, TG and DR. Conclusions Such risk factors of duration of diabetes, SBP, UA, TG, Hb and DR may be associated with the occurrence and severity of albuminuria of DN.
