5.Aspirin in the prevention of cardiovascular disease: a review
Journal of Preventive Medicine 2024;36(4):304-307,313
Abstract
Aspirin (ASA) is widely used for primary and secondary prevention of cardiovascular disease (CVD), but its strategy of application is highly controversial. Meanwhile, in terms of ASA prevention strategies for CVD, countries around the world are different. The United States is becoming increasingly cautious, while the European Union tends to focus on the benefits of ASA clinical use. China is concerned about the effectiveness of ASA in preventing CVD in the elderly. This article reviews relevant literature published domestically and internationally from 2005 to 2024 for the application of ASA in CVD prevention, ASA prevention strategies for CVD in main countries and the application of ASA in special groups such as chronic disease patients, which provides a basis for improving ASA prevention strategies for CVD and standardizing clinical application of ASA in China.
6.Community-acquired Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteremia in children:how do we cope with it? Gao Hengmiao,Qian Suyun
Chinese Pediatric Emergency Medicine 2016;23(1):14-17
Community-acquired Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteremia in children is uncommon but often fatal.Fever, diarrhea, dyspnea or tachypnea are the most common initial symptoms.Ecthyma gangreno-sum is the characteristic skin lesion of Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteremia.Complicated with shock,respira-tory failure, multiple organs dysfunction and inappropriate initial antimicrobial therapy are the risk factors for mortality. The key to early diagnosis is to obtain blood culture as soon as possible and early recognition of the characteristic skin lesion. For suspected cases,it is advisable to cover for Pseudomonas aeruginosa sepsis with anti-Pseudomonas antibiotics.
7.The Impact of Universal Coverage Policy on Catastrophic Health Payments in Thailand
Chinese Health Economics 2013;(10):95-97
Before 2002, the three existing basic medical security systems of Thailand covered 30% of the population, and the surplus population participated in the universal coverage(UC)policy of medical security system which promulgated in 2002. Since the implement of UC policy, it has improved the equity of medical service application and health financing, reduced Catastrophic Health Payments and low-income groups have obtained more benefits. The incidence rate of Catastrophic Health Payments decreased and the spending burden of catastrophic health expenditure in low-income groups decreased from 6.11%(2000)to 4.65%(2002).
8.Preliminary application of nucleic acid detection technique in detection of unpaid blood donors in Wuxi region
International Journal of Laboratory Medicine 2014;(15):2067-2068
Objective To understand the residual risk of transfusion blood donation in the native region and to conduct the sim-ple comparison of Roche diagnostic company′s first generation and second generation nucleic acid combined detection reagents . Methods The menstrual blood specimens qualified by the routine test in this center (serology test and enzyme immunodetection as-say results were negative) from May to July 2013 were selected and performed the 6-specimen mixed sample test by adopting the Roche Diagnostics company′s first-generation and second-generation nucleic acid combined detection reagents in the United Roche COBAS s 201 operating system ,if the test had the reactivity ,the nucleic acid identification tests and other complementary serologi-cal testing were performed .Results 9 417 specimens were detected ,8 cases of nucleic acid positive were screened out with the posi-tive rate of 0 .85 ‰ ,through the detection of nucleic acid identification reagents ,4 specimens were confirmed as positive for HBV nucleic acid ,1 case was positive for HCV nucleic acids and the rest 3 cases of uncertain HBV-positive .In addition ,with the first generation reagent (reference reagents) as the relative standard ,the second generation reagents (assessment reagent) had the over-all positive coincidence rate of 66 .67% ,the negative coincidence rate of 99 .98% and the total coincidence rate of 99 .96% .In addi-tion ,no HIV nucleic acid positive specimens was found by the nucleic acid test .Conclusion The nucleic acid detection technique can effectively shorten window period, further improve the safety of blood transfusions ,at the same time the overall conformance situ-ation of the Roche′s first-generation nucleic acid combined detection reagents and the second generation combined detection reagents is good ,but there are still lesser differences in the detection of HBV .
9.Experimental Study of Anti-aging Effect of Yangyan Quban Particles on Aging Model Mice’s Skin Caused by D-galactose
Chinese Journal of Information on Traditional Chinese Medicine 2006;0(05):-
Objective To investigate the mechanism of anti-aging effect of Yangyan Quban particles on the aging skin. Methods With the dose of D-galactose 1000 mg/(kg?d) by sc administration to the female mice for 42 days, the aging model was established. The mice received Yangyan Quban particles (6.68, 3.34, 1.67 g/kg) by ig administration at the same time of injecting D-galactose. Forty-two days later, the dorsal skin samples were collected to determine glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) activity and serum estradiol (E2) contents, and the influence on uterus, ovary, skin dry and wet weight and the amount of water intake were studied. Results Compared with the aged model mice, the GSH-Px activity and E2 contents in the mice treated with Yangyan Quban particles were increased remarkably, especially the medium is the best dose (P
10.Analysis of 60 Cases of ADR Caused by Methimazole and Propylthiouracil in Our Hospital
China Pharmacy 2016;27(20):2783-2785,2786
OBJECTIVE:To provide reference for rational use of antithyroid drugs (ATD) in the clinic. METHODS:Retro-spective analyzed 60 cases of adverse reaction caused by Methimazole and Propylthiouracil in terms of age, gender, incubation peri-od,organ or system involved and clinical manifestation, which were searched from 2004 May-2014 Dec. in First Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University. RESULTS:Among 60 ADR cases, male was more than female, and the ratio of male to female was 1∶2.75;average age was(39.7 ± 13.4)years old,and 83.3%ADR occurred between 20 and 59 years old;66.7%ADR occurred within 30 days. Most common clinical manifestations were drug-induced liver disease(66.7%,40/60)and neutropenia(25%,15/60). There was statistical significance in the proportion of drug-induced liver disease caused by methimazole and propylthiouracil in all ADR cases(P<0.05),there was no statistical significance in the proportion of agranulemia caused by these two drugs(P>0.05). CON-CLUSIONS:Before and after the treatment of antithyroid drugs,it’s necessary to check hepatic function and the number of neutro-phile granulocyte, and we should monitor and follow up it to ensure the safe use of drugs.
