Objective The aim of this study was to assess the effect of hemodialysis combined with hemoperfusion for the treatment of microinflammation in diabetic nephropathy patients.Methods One hundred and twenty-five cases of diabetic nephropathy experienced treatment from July 2014 to December 2015 in author's hospital were analyzed retrospectively.They were divided into two groups randomly.The observation group received hemodialysis combined with hemoperfusion,and the control group received just hemodialysis therapy.The status of microinflammation and curative effect were compared.Results The effective rate of observation group was 60.6％,while was 45.8％ in control group (P＜0.05).Microinflammation level:compared with control group,SAA,IL-6,IL-17,IL-22,IL-1β,TNF-αand TGF-β1 status of observation group showed decreased trend (P＜0.01).Conclusion Hemodialysis combined with hemoperfusion can effectively decreased microinflammation status in diabetic nephropathy.

The objective of this study was to explore the effect of astragalus polysaccharide (APS) on sensitivity of leukemic cell line HL-60 to NK cell cytotoxicity and its mechanism. The cytotoxicities of NK cells against HL-60 cells were analyzed by LDH releasing assay at different effect-to-target cell ratios (E:T) before and after treated with APS. The gene expression of MHC class I chain-related (MICA) in HL-60 cells before and after APS treatment was assayed with RT-PCR. Protein expression of MICA in HL-60 cells was assayed by flow cytometry before and after treated by APS. The results showed that after treated with APS 15 mg/ml for 48 h, the cytotoxicities of NK cells against HL-60 cells enhanced at different effect-to-target (P < 0.05), and the gene and protein expressions in MICA of HL-60 cells were up-regulated (P < 0.05). It is concluded that the APS can obviously up-regulate the expression of MICA in HL-60 cells, thus enhance sensitivity of HL-60 cells to cytotoxicity of NK cells.

Objective To assess the level of radiation exposures of operators in three typical types of interventional fluoroscopic procedures.Methods Alderson Radiation Therapy (ART) phantom was used to stimulate the practices of diagnosis and therapy using TLDs for dose measurement.The radiation exposures of eye lens, neck, and breast were measured when the lead shielding of machine was on/off and the equivalent dose and effective dose to the eye lens were estimated.Results Radiation exposure of head was obviously reduced by 85% -90% when the lead shielding was on.The doses in different procedures were different.In cerebral angiography the dose equivalent of eye len was the highest in the three procedures.The annual effective dose for the operators was smaller in peripheral vascular interventions than that in cardiovascular interventional therapy and that in cerebral angiography.Conclusions The operators involved in intervention will receive an annual effective dose of less than 20 mSv as recommended by the ICRP under the protection conditions provided by the current study, except for eye lens.Attention should be paid to the protection of the eyes of operators.

Objective To analyze CT and MR features of malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumor (MPNST)of children. Methods Sixteen patients with histologically proven MPNST were retrospectively reviewed.There were 8 male and 8 female, ages from 0.3 to 11.0 years, and median age was 2.5 years. Sixteen cases were performed with CT plain scan, and eight cases with CT enhancement scans, and three with MR examination. The imaging data were analyzed by two highly experienced doctors and obtained agreements after mutual consultation. Results Among 16 cases, 3 cases were located at neck, 5 cases at waist and back,3 cases at abdominal and pelvic, 2 cases at foot, 1 case at left clavicle, 1 case at right mediastinum, 1 case at right orbit. Fifteen cases appeared as solid masses and 1 case showed a diffuse growth. CT plain scan showed 8 cases were solid-appearing masses and 7 cases were cystic-solid mass. Enhanced CT showed enhancement of solid component was moderate to marked and gradually delayed enhanced while cystic component had no any enhancement. One was located on the left side of the neck and appeared as diffuse growth. Two cases of solid mass type appeared as hypo-intensity on T1WI and hyper-intensity on T2WI, and obviously high signal intensity of cystic component on T2WI, and with significantly heterogeneous enhanced.One case with diffuse growth appeared as hypo-intensity on T1WI and slightly hyper-intensity on T2WI, and with significantly enhanced. Sixteen cases appeared as invasive growth, 11 caseswith multiple organic metastases and recurrences, and 4 cases with neurofibromatosis type I and scoliosis.Conclusion CT and MR appearances of MPNST have certain characteristic features, and can demonstrateaggressive performance and multiple organic metastases, which is helpful for definite diagnosis and treatment plan.

Objective To investigate the relationship between pure -tone audiometry (PTA ) ,speech dis‐crimination abilities in quiet or in noise and the international outcome inventory for hearing aids (IOI-HA) in pres‐bycusis patients .Methods Twenty presbycusis subjects were tested in this study .Pure-tone audiometry (PTA) and speech discrimination threshold were obtained before being fitted with hearing aids .They weared hearig aids more than six months ,and pure-tone audiometry ,speech discrimination scores in quite(the level = 65 dB SPL) and in noise(signal to noise ratio = 10 dB) were carried out in sound field .A stepwise forward multiple-regression analysis was performed to investigate the impact of PTA and speech discrimination scores to IOI-HA .Results The PTAs before or after hearing aid fittings showed a negative association with IOI-HA ,while speech discrimination scores in quiet or in noise before or after hearing aid fittings showed a positive association with IOI-HA .Speech discrimination threshold in noise was identified as a single predictor of IOI-HA(P<0 .001) .Conclusion The relation between speech discrimination scores in noise and IOI-HA suggests that a poor score might limit the hearing aids outcome .The speech discrimination scores in noise help the clinicians predict the outcomes of hearing aid in real‐ities .

To investigate the roles of apoptosis and the Fas system (Fas, Fas ligand, soluble Fas) in the process of liver cirrhosis (LC) converting into hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), expression of Fas and Fas ligand (FasL) in 49 LC and 36 HCC samples was detected by immunohistochemical method. Apoptosis was detected by terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase mediated dUTP nick end labeling (TUNEL) method. Serum soluble Fas (sFas) levels in 28 cases of LC and 27 cases of HCC were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) method. Compared with LC, apoptotic indices (AI) in HCC tissues were significantly reduced (P<0.001), expression of Fas was decreased (P<0.05), and that of FasL was increased (P<0.05). Serum sFas levels in HCC patients were significantly higher than those in normal controls. Down-regulation of Fas expression, up-regulation of FasL expression in hepatocytes and elevation of sFas level in serum might contribute to tumor escape from immune surveillance of the body.
