Objective To observe temporal expression of matrix metalloproteinases(MMP-13) and tissue inhibitor of metalloproteina-ses-1 (TIMP-1) in lung of newborn rats with hyperoxia induced chronic lung disease (CLD),and to explore the relationship of CLD with MMPs.Methods The neonatal rats within 24 hours after birth were randomly divided into hyperoxia-exposed group(n=40) and control group(n=40).On postnatal 1,3,7,14 and 21 days,lung tissue of rats in 2 groups were collected.Lung histological changes were evaluated by hematoxylin and eosin and Masson stain;Collagen Ⅰ was detected by enzyme linked immunoadsorbent assay;MMP-13 and TIMP-1 were identifide by immunohistochemistry.Results Exposured to hyperoxia enviroment for 21 days,the number of alveolar decreased,terminal air space enlarged,inter-alveolar septa thickened,and deposition of interstitial collagen fibers.On 14 and 21 days,collagen Ⅰ in the lung of hyperoxia-exposed group increased significantly compared with that of control group(P0.05),obviously decreased on 21 day(P

OBJECTIVETo compare the clinical effective differences between acupuncture-moxibustion and Chinese herbs for functional dyspepsia with emotional disorder.

METHODSEighty patients were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group, 40 cases in each one. In the observation group, based on the basic treatment Zusanli (ST 36), Yinlingquan (SP 9), Zhongwan (CV 12), Danzhong (CV 17), Neiguan (PC 6), Taichong (LR 3), Ganshu (BL 18), Geshu (BL 17) and Danshu (BL 19) were selected once every day or every other day. The treatment was given 14 times. In the control group, based on the basic treatment individual therapy of Chinese herbs according to syndrome differentiation was applied,one dose a day. Patients were treated for 4 weeks in the two groups. The scores of self-rating depression scale (SDS), the main symptoms and satisfied degree by self-rating for treatment were observed before and after 4-week treatment in the two groups. Also, the rate and the average time of return visit were compared in 6 months after treatment. Results After treatment, the SDS scores and the main symptoms scores were all improved compared with those before treatment in the two groups (all P< 0. 05). After 4-week treatment, the improvement of the SDS score in the observation group was better than that in the control group (48. 9±8. 5 vs 53. 1±8. 0, P<0. 05). After 1-week treatment and 4-week treatment, the improvements of the main symptoms in the observation group were superior to those in the control group (2. 7 ± 1. 0 vs 3. 3±0. 9, 1. 5±0. 9 vs 2. 3±1. 1, both P<0. 05), and the satisfied degree scores by self-rating were better than those in the control group (3. 0±1. 1 vs 3. 8±1. 3, 2. 0±1. 4 vs 2. 9±1. 5, both P<0. 05). In 6 months after treatment,the return visit rate in the observation group was 42. 5% (17/40), and it was lower than 70. 0% (28/40) in the control group (P<0. 05). The average time of return visit in the observation group was less than that in the control group (1. 0±0.8 vs 1. 9±0. 7, P<0. 05).

CONCLUSIONThe effect of acupuncture-moxibustion or functional dyspepsia with emotional disorder is better than that of Chinese medicine.

Objective To explore the clinical effect,safety and influence on pulmonary function of different doses of simvastatin in treatment of COPD.Methods Totally 192 COPD patients accepted in The Second Hospital of Yulin from July 2015 to January 2016 were selected and randomly divided into groups A and B with 96 cases in each group.Patients in group A were given 40 mg/d simvastatin,and patients in group B were given 20 mg/d simvastatin.Then the clinical effect,pulmonary function,life quality and safety of two groups were compared.Results The total effective rates after 1 month treatment of group A and group B were 82.29％ and 70.83％ respectively,which had no difference between two groups.The total effective rates of group A after 3 months treatment (89.95％ vs 77.08％) and 6 months treatment (93.75％ vs 84.38％) were higher than that of group B,and the differences were significantly (P ＜ 0.05).The indexes of pulmonary function after 1 month treatment of two groups had no difference.The indexes of pulmonary function after 3 months and 6 months of treatment of group A were obviously better than those of group B,and the differences were significantly (P ＜ 0.05).The life quality of group A was better than group B,and the differences were significantly (P ＜ 0.05).The safety between two groups had no difference.Conclusion Simvastatin (40 mg/d) has good effect and safety in the treatment of COPD,which can improve the lung function and life quality and is worthy of clinical applications.

Objective To investigate the distribution of high-arsenic drinking water in Honghu city of Hubei province in order to provide a scientific basis for prevention and control of endemic arsenic disease.Methods Investigations were made in 22 townships(towns,districts),68 natural villages of the drainage areas of the Dongjing River,the Neijing River and the Yangtse River in 2006 and 2007,with the townships(towns,districts)around Shahu town in Xiantao city as the focal point.1000 water samples were drawn each year,which was 10% of all the wells in every natural village.Using sampling investigation,water arsenic Was determined by half-quantitative fast reagent kit.All samples of water with arsenic exceeding the standard(≥0.03 mg/L)were re-determined according to state standard.Surveys on the disease was carried out in the villages(brigades)where arsenic exceeded the standard.Results A total of 2000 samples were surveyed from 68 natural villages,of which there were 401 samples from 48 villages exceeding the standard in a rate of 20.05%(401/2000).The highest arsenic content Was 0.71 mg/L.The high arsenic water sources were distributed mainy in the drainage areas of the Dongjing River and the Neijing River,but no patients with endemic arsenic disease were found.Conclusions The high arsenic water sources are distributed mainly in the drainage areas of the Dongjing River and the Neijing River.It is suggested that the interrelated government departments should take precise measures to impmve the quality of drinking water and ensure safe water to the residents in high arsenic areas.

The conventional oral drug delivery frequently results in the drug elimination before its complete release due to rapid gastric emptying and short gastrointestinal transport time, thus reducing the bioavailability of drug. In order to maintain an effective concentration of drug in the body and maximize its optimal efficacy, the frequency of administrations often needs to be increased. By contrast, gastric retention drug delivery system (GRDDS), as an innovative method of drug delivery, prolongs the retention time of the drug in the stomach and reduces irritation to the gastrointestinal tract. Consequently, it enhances the bioavailability of drug, reduces dosing frequency for patients and improves treatment adherence. In recent years, domestic and foreign studies have been conducted on gastric retention drug delivery systems. Here, we provide a comprehensive overview of the relevant literature published in recent years, examining their current marketing status, various types, as well as in vivo and in vitro evaluation methods.

Objective To explore the predictive value of neutrophil gelatinase associated lipocalin (NGAL) for contrast-induced acute kidney injury (CI-AKI) after emergency percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) in patients with relative normal renal function.Methods A total of 73 patients with relative normal renal function undergoing PCI were enrolled in this prospective multicenter clinical study.Serum NGAL was measured by point-of-care test.Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was used to analyze the diagnostic value of NGAL for CI-AKI.Results CI-AKI occurred in 5 patients (6.85％).The concentration of NGAL was higher in the CI-AKI group than in the non-CI-AKI group.ROC curve indicated that the area under the receiver operating characteristic was 0.755,0.761 and 0.809,respectively.Conclusions Serum NGAL at baseline,4 h and 8 h after procedure are served as a good biomarker for early diagnosis of CI-AKI after PCI.Therefore,NGAL might become an early and quick marker for CI-AKI in the future.

This paper is to report the exploration of the activation of Rho/ROCK signal pathway in 5-HT-induced proliferation of rat pulmonary artery smooth muscle cells (PASMCs) and the inhibitory effect of m-Nis on this pathway. PASMCs were cultured with the explant technique. MTT assay was used to explore the proliferation of PASMCs after 5-HT treated for different time and the intervening effect of m-Nis. RT-PCR and Western blot were used respectively to explore the mRNA expression of RhoA, ROCK1 and the protein expression of p-MYPT1 in 5-HT-treated PASMCs and intervening effect of m-Nis. The results of MTT assay suggested that 5-HT (1 µmol · L(-1)) treatment for 12-72 h significantly induced the proliferation of rat PASMCs (P<0.05 or P < 0.01), which were inhibited by m-Nis (1 x 10(-5), 1 x 10(-6), l x 10(-7), 1 x10(-8) mol · L(-1)) in dose-dependent manners (P < 0.05 or P < 0.01). Similarly, the mRNA expression of RhoA, ROCK1 and the protein expression of p-MYPT1 were also inhibited by m-Nis in different degrees (P < 0.05 or P < 0.01). Thus, the results of this study suggested that Rho/ROCK pathway played an important role in 5-HT-induced proliferation of rat PASMCs, m-Nis inhibited 5-HT-induced proliferation obviously, which may be related to the blockage of Rho/ROCK signal pathway.
