1.Combine Interventional Oviduct Recanalization with Traditional Chinese Medicine to Treat Infertility of Oviduct Obstruction

Objective To evaluate the efficacy of the combination interventional oviduct recanalization with traditional chinese medicine for infertile women with oviduct obstruction.Methods 38 cases with 76 oviduct obstruction were treated with FTC-900 oviduct recanalization apparatus guided with DSA,the apparatus was supplied by COOK company,before recanalization,assisted with side fornix vaginae and enema with traditional chinese medicine.Results Of 76 obstructive oviduct,71 oviduct were recanalization,the successful rates of recanalization were 93.4%;Of 38 infertile women ,25 cases become pregnant,the pregnant rates were 67.3%;Of 13 unsuccessful cases,8 cases turn out re-obstructived.Conclusion Combination interventional oviduct recanalization with traditional chinese medicine for infertile women with oviduct is a simple,safe,and more effective method,it has a high successful rates than either method solely,should be spreaded.
3.Different concentrations of icariin for bone defect repair:disputes and exploration

BACKGROUND:As one of the main active ingredients in epimedium, icari n plays an important role in bone defect repair. Sustained and effective concentration of icari n in vivo is essential for bone damage repair.
OBJECTIVE:To recommend the research progress of epimedium glycoside for bone repair and to explore the pharmaco-active concentration of icari n.
METHODS:A computer-based online search of CNKI database (http://www.cnki.net/) and PubMed database (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/PubMed) from January 2000 to October 2013 was performed for related articles of the effect of icari n for bone defect repair and bone damage repair. The key words were“icari n, concentration, bone”in Chinese and English. After repeated articles were excluded, 76 related articles were screened out and 44 of them met the inclusive criteria.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:The icari n-released scaffold materials can induce the osteogenic differentiation of bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells, promote the viability of osteoblasts and inhibit the resorption of osteoclasts, thus repairing bone tissue. It is certain that icari n promotes cellular dif erentiation, however whether it can promote cellular proliferation remains unclear. The pharmaco-active concentration of icari n ranges from10-8 to 10-5 mol/L, but clinical trial has not yet been carried out, and specific drug concentration is uncertain, which needs further exploration.
4.Mechanism of gender difference in sotalol-induced torsade de pointes

AIM: To investigate the mechanism of gend er difference in sotalol-induced torsade de pointes (TdP) in rabbits in vitro. METHODS: 40 rabbits of both sexes were divided into two groups: low concentration (1?10 -5 mol/L d-sotalol) group and high concentration (1?10 -4 mol/L d-sotalol) group. With the monophasic action potential (MAP ) recording technique, MAP of epicardium, midmyocardium and endocardium were sim ultaneously recorded by specially designed plunge-needle electrodes across the l eft ventricular free wall of rabbit hearts purfused by Langendorff method. TdP w as induced by bradycardia, d-sotalol and low-K+, Mg 2+ tyrode solution. RESULTS: d-sotalol prolonged the duration of 90% repolarizat ion (MAPD 90) of epicardium, midmyocardium and endocardium in a concentration-d ependent manner and the effect on midmyocardium was the most obvious. In low con centration group, MAPD 90 of midmyocardium of male rabbit heart increased f rom (222?11) ms to (230?10) ms and that of female rabbit heart increased from (263?12) ms to (281?12) ms. In high concentration group, MAPD 90 of midmy ocardium of male rabbit heart increased from (217?10) ms to (296?18) ms and th at of female rabbit heart increased from (258?10) ms to (368?19) ms. There was no difference in TDR between male and female rabbit hearts before perfusion wit h d-sotalol. D-sotalol prolonged TDR in a concentration-dependent manner. In low concentration group, TDR of male and female rabbit hearts was (20.0?5.1) ms and (28.0?5.6) ms. In high concentration group, TDR of male and female rabbit hearts was (38.0?4.8) ms and (55.0?7.7) ms, respectively. There was EAD i n 6 female hearts while no EAD develop ed in male heart and no TdP developed in low concentration group. In high concen tration group, 10 female, 9 male hearts developed EAD, 9 female and 3 male he arts developed TdP. CONCLUSION: The greater TDR induced by d-sotalol in female may b e responsible for the higher incidence of TdP of female rabbit heart.
5.The changes of potassium currents in rabbit ventricle with healed myocardial infarction.

To elucidate the mechanism of arrhythmia in healed myocardial infarction (HMI), the changes of action potential duration (APD), transient outward potassium current (Ito), delayed rectifier potassium current (IK) and inward rectifier potassium current (IK1) of left ventricular myocytes in non-infarcted zone of HMI were investigated. Rabbits were randomly assigned into two groups: HMI group, in which animals were subjected to thoracotomy and ligation of the circumflex coronary and sham-operated group, in which rabbits underwent thoracotomy but no conorary ligation. 3 months after the operation, the whole myocyte patch clamp technique was used to record APD, Ito, IK, and IK1 of ventricular myocytes in non-infarcted zone. Our results showed that the membrane capacitance was larger in HMI group than in sham-operated group. Action potential duration was significantly lengthened in HMI group and early afterdepolarization (EAD) appeared in HMI group. The densities of Ito, I(K, tail), and IK1 were reduced significantly in HMI group, from 6.72 +/- 0.42 pA/pF, 1.54 +/- 0.13 pA/pF and 25.6 +/- 2.6 pA/pF in sham-operated group to 4.03 +/- 0.33 pA/pF, 1.14 +/- 0.11 pA/pF and 17.6 +/- 2.3 pA/pF, respectively. It is concluded that the reduced densities of Ito, I(K, tail) and IK1 in ventricular myocytes of non-infarcted zone in HMI were responsible for the prolongation of APD and the presentation of EAD which played important roles in the development of malignant arrhythmia in HMI.

9.Dynamic changes of peripheral blood lymphocyte subsets in fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome patients

Objective The aim of this study is to dynamically investigate peripheral blood lymphocyte subsets in fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome (SFTS) patients at different stages,to evaluate the influence of these changes in the infection process.Methods Case-control study was used in the research.Twelveconfirmedthrombocytopeniasyndromevirus ( SFTSV ) infectedpatientswere enrolled.According to SFTS prevention guide issued by Chinese Ministry of Health,these patients were divided into two groups,recovery group and death group.For each group,dynamic profiles of the CD3 + T cells,CD4 + helper T cells,CD8 + cytotoxic T cell and CD3 - CD16 + CD56 + natural killer cells were tested by flow cytometry.Meanwhile, the relationshipsbetween these dynamicchanges and liver function,leukocytes,and platelets were analyzed respectively.Two independent-samples t test was used to compare the difference of the peripheral blood lymphocyte subsets count between the SFTS patients and healthy control.Small sample was analyzed by Mann-Whitney U test.Results In the early stage of infection,Th cells in peripheral blood of recovery group were significantly reduced and Th/Tc ratio was reversed.On day 5,7,9 of post infection,Th cell counts in peripheral blood were (740.9 ± 6.4),(836.2 ± 272.3 ) and ( 1083.6 ± 319.7 ) cells/μl respectively,which were significantly lower than health control ( 1351.4 ± 295.1 ) cells/μl ( t value was -2.883,-4.235,-2.145 respectively,all P <0.05).Tc cell counts were significantly more than healthy controls (690.1 ± 194.8) cells/μl through the course,which were ( 1006.3 ±356.5),(1166.4±242.4),(1102.4±245.9),(991.3±205.1) and (886.5±154.5) cells/μl on day 7,9,11,13,15 of the course (t value was 3.312,5.661,4.574,3.874,2.382,all P<0.05).NK cells were decreased significantly from the ninth day of the course.Associated with abnormal changes of cell subsets,WBC and PLT decreased significantly,and serum ALT,AST,LDH and CK etc.were higher than normal level.With the disease recovery,the abnormality above was gradually improved.In contrast,death cases showed significant decrease in T and Th cells compared with health control (P < 0.05).On day 7,8,9 of the course,the counts of total T cell were (735.9 ± 359.9),(724.9 ± 125.9),(845.3 ± 389.3) cells/μl and the counts of Th cell were ( 533.2 ± 246.9 ),( 532.1 ± 105.7 ),( 551.7 ± 86.9 ) cells/μl,significantly lower than healthy control ( 1727.9 ± 230.2 ) cells/μl and ( 1351.4 ± 295.1 ) cells/μl,with statistically differences (z value was - 2.828, - 2.342,- 2.342 and - 2.828, - 2.342, - 2.342,all P < 0.05 ).On day 7,8,9 of the course,the numbers of NK cell in death group were ( 1141.8 ± 415.5),( 1047.2 ±68.4),( 1276.3 ±545.3) cells/μl,which were significantly more than health group (470.7 ± 242.2) cells/μl,with statistically differences (z value was - 2.180,- 2.335,- 2.258,all P <0.05).Conclusions SFTSV infection can induce cell immunity damage.The changes of lymphocyte subsets are associated with clinical classification and prognosis.Significant reduction of T cell and CD4 +cell in peripheral blood are accompanied with significant increase of NK cell,which may be a pivotal indicator of poor prognosis and play an important role in making appropriate strategy in clinical treatment.( Chin J Lab Med,2012,35:826-831 )
10.Application of valplast dentures in the temporary restoration of single missing anterior tooth.

OBJECTIVETo evaluate the value of valplast dentures in the temporary restoration of single missing anterior tooth.
METHODSTotally 76 patients who needed temporary restoration of single missing anterior tooth were involved and equally divided into two groups according to their own choices of procedures: group A, with valplast dentures as their temporary dentures and group B, with conventional removable partial dentures as their temporary dentures. Meanwhile,38 patients who had their single anterior teeth pulled out and did not need temporary dentures were enrolled as control group without any temporary restoration, and impressions were taken immediately before the temporary dentures were used (2 weeks after tooth extraction) and before the initiation of permanent restorations (97-100 days after tooth extraction).The heights of clinical crowns of the adjacent teeth were also recorded twice from plaster models made from the impressions.The height of labial gingiva recession was calculated as the difference between the two heights recorded.
RESULTSThe height differences of clinical crowns of the adjacent teeth was 0.5mm (range: 0.0-1.2mm) in group A, which was significantly larger than those in group B [0.0mm;(range: 0.0-0.6mm)](P<0.05) and in group C[0.0mm;(range: 0.0-0.4mm)](P<0.05).However, the difference was not significant between group B and group C (P>0.05).
CONCLUSIONApplication of valplast denture as temporary denture may cause labial gingival recession of the adjacent teeth, and therefore is not suitable for the restoration of single missing anterior tooth.
