Objective To discuss some problems about current learning objectives for the speciality of clinical medicine in China, including the concepts, the decision-making systems and value-orientation,and to provide the reference for stipulating the learning objectives in future. Methods The objectives of some Chinese medical universities were collected from their websites. Some medical educators were consulted about their feelings about these learning objectives, and also were asked to identify their own objectives. Results Medical educators failed to distinguish their own objectives, and there were four main problems in current learning objectives: generalization, similarity and lack of individuality, difficulty in guide the curricula and teaching, and setting up too high object. Conclusion The learning objectives in clinical medicine should reflect both specialty characteristic and university individuality,so they should be drawn up by teachers, students and educatirnal administrators, moreover their value orientation should be eligible standard, not excellence.

BACKGROUND:In the cytotoxicity test of the mussel adhesive protein dressing for wound healing, because of positive charge properties of the protein, when extracting ratio is 1:9, the cel s exhibit poly-group phenomenon that results in errors in the cytotoxicity test of mussel adhesive protein samples.
OBJECTIVE:According to the existing standards, to improve the leaching proportion and pretreatment of mussel adhesive protein dressing for wound healing based on the special properties and working condition of mussel adhesive protein.
METHODS:(1) Extract method:Extract solution of mussel adhesive protein dressing was prepared with mussel adhesive protein dressing and cel medium at extracting ratios of 1:9 and 1:131. Then, L929 cel s were cultured in extract solutions of mussel adhesive protein dressing, natural latex and high-density polyethylene, respectively. (2) Method of direct contact:Distil ed water, solutions of mussel adhesive protein dressing, dimethyl sulfoxide and cel medium were used to culture L929 cel s.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:When the extracting ratio was 1:9, the cel s agglomerated which is not suitable for cytotoxicity test. When the extracting ratio was 1:131, flocculated sediment and cel aggregation disappeared, the cytotoxicity test results showed no cytotoxicity with higher reliability. Direct contact method showed the samples had no cytotoxicity. The extract method with adjusted extracting radio or direct contact method can be applied to test the in vitro cytotoxicity of mussel adhesive protein dressing for wound healing.

OBJECTIVETo explore the effects of nano-hydroxyapatite/polyamide 66 (n-HA/PA66) cage on recovering and maintaining lumbar curvature, lumbar heights and fusion rate when used in the transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion.
METHODSFrom February to July 2012, 50 patients with degenerative lumbar disease(lumbar disc herniation in 32 cases and lumbar spondylolisthesis in 18 cases) were treated with transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion using the n-HA/PA66 cage, and their preoperative and postoperative clinical outcomes were analyzed. The patients were followed up for 2, 4, 6 and 8 months after operation, during which the CR and CT film of lumbar vertebra were checked to get relative height of vertebral space, Taillard index, index of lumbar spinal curvature, angle of segmental and full lumbar lordosis. The data were analyzed respectively with pair t-test, analysis of variance or LSD-t-test.
RESULTSAll the patients were followed up, and the duraion ranged from 8 to 13 months, with a mean of 11.32 months. There were significant differences in relative height of vertebral space, Taillard index, index of lumbar spinal curvature, angle of segmental and full lumbar lordosis after surgery, but there were no significant differences in different periods after operation. The fusion time of lumbar ranged from 4 to 8 months.
CONCLUSIONThe n-HA/PA66 cage can recover and maintain lumbar normal stability with higher rate of fusion and less complications.

Journal of Shanghai Jiaotong University(Medical Science) 2008;0(S1):-
Objective To explore a new model of medical humanity education in new situation. Methods Extensive survey was carried out among medical students, and discussion and consultation were hold to faculty and education administers.A new teaching model was established. Results A curriculum system with 1 or 2 core courses supported by some elective courses and social practice is under the process of implementation and achieved preliminary success. Conclusion The medical humanity education should pay attention to the development of connotation instead of pursuing the extension of quantity blindly, which means that students' school work must be eased by focusing on self-study and self-education.Medical students'life path with high-minded personality training should be strengthened.

Objective To evaluate the effect of spleno-left adrenal vein shunt for the treatment of portal hypertensive upper GI bleeding caused by portal vein cavernous transformation in children. Methods Spleno-left adrenal vein shunt was performed in 8 children with portal hypertension due to cavernous transformation. The clinical data was reviewed. Results Portal vein pressure decreased significantly from (30±11)mm Hg to(22±7) mm Hg after shunt. There was no mortality perioperatively and during the follow-up.There were no recurrent hemorrhage nor hepatic encephalopathy occurring in the follow-up and all the children have normal intelligence and normal liver function though blood ammonia level increased significantly from(18±7)μmol/L to (60±17)μmol/L in 4 cases. In 7 cases in which preoperative whole blood cell count significantly decreased, the postoperative WBC,RBC,Hb and PLT was (7.64 ±4.46)×10~9/L,(4.54±0.97)×10~(12)/L,(133±5) g/L and (355.40±107.36)×10~9/L respectively (all P <0.05).In one case suffering from preoperative low PLT count the postop PLT reached 333×10~9/L,which was significantly higher than that preoperatively.Esophageal varices ameliorated in 6 cases. No stenosis of anastomotic stoma and thrombosis developed. Conclusion Spleno-left adrenal vein shunt is an effective procedure to treat portal vein cavernous transformation induced portal hypertension in children.

Microbiology 1992;0(05):-
The crude toxin was extracted from hypha and culture solution of Phyllosticta commelimecola through three different polarity solvent: benzinum, puncificatum ethyl acetate and chloroform. The result indicated that the toxin secreted by Phyllosticta commelimecola not only was in hypha but also in culture solution and the extracting effect of ethyl acetate was the best. The soybean median and PSK media can be respectively used as solid and liquid culture media to produce toxin and grow mycelium. The optimal cultural conditions for producing toxin were temperature 32℃,cultured period 14d, cultured ways shaking of 150r/min.

Chinese Journal of Oncology 2003;25(1):39-42
OBJECTIVETo construct lymphangiogenesis model of Balb/c mouse in vitro to observe the impact of mouse ascites hepatoma cell H22 on the lymphangiogenesis and lymphatic endothelial proliferation.
METHODSIntraperitoneal benign lymphangioma induced by incomplete Freund's adjuvant in Balb/c mouse was harvested and embedded in fibrin gel to culture in vitro with conditioned medium (CM) of H22 cell. The gels, observed by inverted microscope and transmission electron microscope, were then digested to separate the cells. The expression of Flt-4, c-fos and iNOS in the cell and the content of NO in medium were studied by immunohistochemical and histochemical method.
RESULTSLymphatic capillary generating from lymphangioma specimen in the gels was observed by inverted microscope and transmission electron microscope. H22 CM was observed to enhance growth of the vessels, induce expressions of Flt-4, c-fos and iNOS in the separated cells and increase content of NO in the medium.
CONCLUSIONThe model is convenient for in vitro study of lymphangiogenesis. H22 cell can accelerate lymphangiogenesis, which warrants further study for the understanding of the role of lymphangiogenesis in metastasis.
