1.Soft tissue cephalometric analysis of adults in Xi'an area with normal occlusion
Journal of Practical Stomatology 1995;0(04):-
Objective:To establish the cephalometric norms of soft tissue of adults in Xi'an area with normal occlusion.Methods:120 college students with normal occlusion(60 male and 60 female), aged from 18-22 years old in Xi'an city were selected.Lateral cephalometric film was taken by cephalometer for all the subjects at intercuspal occlusion. Then the films were traced on vitriolic paper, and the points were put into computer through digitizier. Statistic analysis were made and the data were compared with norms of adolescents already obtained. Results:Studied by Holdaway analysis,in the males FH-PgG' and Li-Pg' Ls of adults were bigger than those of adolescents, while Ss-Ls,Sn-H,Ls-Si and H-N'pg' were smaller(P0.05).Conclusion:The 3 sets of norms of soft tissue analysis obtained through this study may be applied as the norms of adults with normal occlusion.

International Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2010;32(5):450-451
Previous teaching of"Four Classic Subject" of TCM was a passive process for students to learn. Problem based learning (PBL), being an original teaching mode, could provoke activeness and conduce to group spirit of students. However, at present, there were problems such as inadequate teaching ability of teachers, not enough supply of teachers, short of corresponding teaching materials, and lack of independence and group spirit of students, which needed to be solved badly.

AimTo establish a model of the injury of the vascular endothelial cell(VEC) in rats and observe the function of Chinese herbs of Li Qi Huo Xue(LQHX) will prevent and treat the VEC injury. Methods30 SD rats weredivided into the control, the model and LQHX groups. The model of the VEC injury was established. It tried to demonstrate the effect of LQHX for the coagula tion and fibrinolysis function of the VEC by the C EC count,t-PA, PAI activity, 6-keto-PGF1αcontent and PAgTmax. Results In LQHX group as compared with those of the medol group, The CEC count was redued obviously(P<0.01). t-PA activity was increased(P<0.01), so did the percentage of active t-PA(P<0.01), but PAI activity decreased (P<0.05), 6-keto-PGF1α content increased (P<0.01)α the PAgTmax decreasd (P <0.01) Conclution LQHX can enhance the anticoagulation and fibrinolysis activities. It is a more effective measure for the VEC protection.

Objective To explore the treatment of children with EB virus infection accompanied by facial paralysis. Method The clinical data of a child with EB virus infection accompanied by facial paralysis was analyzed retrospectively, and the related literature were reviewed. Results A 2-year-old boy was admitted to hospital due to fever and mouth askew for 4 days. After admission, he was confirmed to have EB virus infection and viremia by serology and polymerase chain reaction, and then treated with acyclovir. The symptoms of facial paralysis and EB viremia disappeared completely 14 days after antiviral treatment. There was no recurrence in the short-term follow-up. Interestingly, the literature analysis shows that there is still limited evidence for the antiviral treatment by acyclovir in children with acute infection of EB virus associated with facial paralysis. Conclusion Antiviral treatment may be beneficial to EB viremia with facial paralysis.

Clinical Medicine of China 2012;28(10):1016-1019
Objective To observe the efficacy of pregabalin in the treatment of painful diabeticperipheral neuropathy. Methods In a 8-week study,50 patients were randomly assigned into two groups:the therapy group and the control group. The patients in the therapy group were treated with pregabalin 150 mg/d,and the patients in the control group were treated with carbamazepine 200 mg/d.The dose of pregabalin was increased to 300 mg/d till pain was alleviated in the therapy group, and the dose of carbamazepine was increased to 600 mg/d till pain was alleviated in the control group. The therapeutic effect and VAS score in the two groups were observed and evaluated. Results After 1 and 8 weeks' treatment, the therapeutic effect of therapy group were significantly superior to the control group ( At 1 week:U =2.028,P =0.046 ; At 8 week:U =3.540,P <0.001 ).After 1 and 8 weeks' treatment, the VAS scores of therapy group were significantly lower than the control group ( At 1 week:5.13 ± 1.76 vs.6.74 ± 1.52,P < 0.05 ; At 8 week:1.13 ± 0.45 vs 3.27 ± 1.04,P < 0.05).There were 5 patients (20%) and 10 patients (40%) had adverse reaction in the therapy and the control groups respectively. Conclusion Pregabalin is effective and safe for the treatment of painful diabetic peripheral neuropathy.

Objective To study the regulation role on molecular level of hCG on P450scc,P450c17 and 3?HSD in adult mouse Leydig cells. Methods Leydig cells of adult mice were cultured in vitro for 1 and 8 hours with or without hCG,then P450scc,P450c17 and I,VI total 3?HSD mRNA levels were measured respectively by the semi quantitative RT PCR as well as Scal restriction endonuclease incised methods.Meanwhile, the testosterone contents were measured in two groups. Results 1.In stimulated group Leydig cells cultured for 1 and 8 hours with hCG,the testosterone contents were higher significantly than those in control groups(1 hour P 0.05),but the ratio of type VI/I 3?HSD mRNA gradually increased. Conclusion hCG can stimulate the transcription of P450scc,P450c17 and type VI 3?HSD in adult mouse Leydig cells.

Aim The effect triptolide(Tri) on local stimulation was observed .Methods Tri solution in different concentrations was applied in rabbits, rats and mice and the respenses were observed .Results 1.11 ,2.22 and 4.44 mmol?L-1 of Tri induced obvious erythema and edema on both intact skin and injured skin of rabbits. The pathological histology revealed the evident inflammation in scarfskin and corium 2.22 mmol?L-1 and 4.44 mmol?L-1 of triptolide significantly induced swelling of auricle in mice.0.55 mmol?L-1 and 1.11 mmol?L-1 of Tri significantly induced swelling of planta in rats. The response of inflammation reached to peak at the third day after hypodermic injection and lasted a week.Tri also significantly induced pain reaction and enhanced the permeability of capillary after local injection in mice. Conclusion Tri has a local stimulation effect and induces inflammation which can not be antagonized by its anti-inflammation effect.
