Chinese Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2017;32(3):176-181
Some of the clinical manifestation of primary immunodeficiency disease in children is similar with that of hematological system diseases in children. It would result into the change of one or multiple lines of blood cells, which would lead to infection or malignant tumors. To strengthen the awareness of the hematologic manifestations of immunodeficiency diseases will be beneficial for doctors in the diagnosis of diseases, judgment of complication and prog-nosis.
6.Study Progress on Embryonic Stem Cells and Adult Stem Cells Derivated into Male Germ Cells
Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2004;0(08):-
Embryonic stem cells(ESCs),a kind of totipotent cells, can differentiate into cell type of the 3 germ layers.Adult stem cells(ASCs) are pluripotent stem cells, which can self-renew and transdifferentiate into a completely different tissue derivative cells. Thus ASCs can transdifferentiate into germ cells in a certain condition.Great progress has made for the study on human ESCs.However, use of ESCs faces the immunological rejection, oncogenicity and ethical controversies problems, and these limit their uses for treatment of human diseases. On contrast,ASCs can advoid these problems, and they may have a better perspective.Germ cells as carriers of genetic materials, are worth of studying. If male germ cells can be derived from ASCs,this will open the possibilities for the use of these cells for male infertillty in clinical application. In this review,we will introduce the progress on derivation of male germ cells from ESCs and ASCs.

Blood transfusion therapy is widerly used in pediatric surgery as it's validity in many acute and chronic pediatric diseases.Compared to adults, pediatric perioperative transfusion therapy, particularly the approach to massive blood transfusion can be quite complex because of the unique physiologic characteristics.Perioperative transfusion therapy in children can cause significant metabolic disturbance, and further, cause severe complications. This paper presents an overview of the physiologic characteristics which related to pediatric perioperative transfusion therapy. And also the metabolisms related to massive perioperative blood transfusion in children. These may accordingly primarily useful to treat the pediatric patients.

Perioperative blood transfusion therapy for coagulation factor deficiency in children is very important to save patient's life or conducive to the postoperative recovery. With the advances in transfusion medicine, the cooperation through pediatric hematologists and surgeons in the perioperative period, more and more operation of children accompany coagulation factor deficiency can be safety finished.Different types of coagulation factor deficiency in children are treated by high-purity clotting factor,in order to correct abnormal coagulation factors levels.Clinical data showed that coagulation factor deficiency in children after proper treatment can be safely performed surgical procedure.

Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of target fire red-hot needling in treating articular deformity due to rheumatoid arthritis. Methods Ninety-six rheumatoid arthritis patients with articular swelling and deformity were randomly allocated to treatment and control groups, 48 cases each. The treatment group received target scattered fire red-hot needling and the control group, conventional acupuncture. After two courses of treatment, pre-/post-treatment changes in the self-reported pain score, erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), C-reactive protein (CRP) and immunoglobulins (IgA, IgG and IgM) were observed in the two groups and the clinical therapeutic effects were compared between the two groups. Results The total efficacy rate was 89.6% in the treatment group and 50.0% in the control group; there was a statistically significant difference between the two groups (P<0.01). There were statistically significant pre-/post-treatment differences in ESR, CRP, IgA, IgG and IgM in the treatment groups (P<0.05). There were statistically significant pre-/post-treatment differences in ESR, CRP, and IgG in the treatment groups (P<0.05). There were statistically significant post-treatment differences in ESR, CRP, IgA, IgG and IgM in the treatment and control groups (P<0.05).Conclusion Target fire red-hot needling is an effective way to treat articular deformity due to rheumatoid arthritis.
