3.Investigation on relation between recurrent spontaneous abortion and antiphospholipid thrombosis syndrome
Acta Universitatis Medicinalis Anhui 2001;(2):137-138
Objective To investigate the causes of recurrent spontaneous abortion(RSA) and to know the relation between RSA and antiphospholipid thrombosis syndrome(APL-T). Methods ELISA and PTT-LA were used to detect anticardiolipin antibody(ACA) and lupus anticoagulant(LA) in 32 patients with RSA and 20 normal controls(NC). Results There were 17 positive of antiphospholipid antibody(APA) in RSA group. The incidence was significantly higher than that in NC group. The incidence of LA was also significantly higher than that in NC group. 8 patients were diagnosed as APL-T. Conclusion LA may be the more important reason of RSA. It should be considered as APL-T when RSA is unexplained.
5.Effects of Cigarette Smoke Extract on Signal Transduction Pathway of MUC5AC Mucin Expression in A549 Cells
Journal of Environment and Health 1992;0(02):-
Objective To investigate the effects of heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1) on the signal transduction pathway of cigarette smoke-induced mucin (MUC) expression in airway mucous hypersecretion. Methods The cell model of mucous hypersecretion was made by human lung A549 cell stimulated by cigarette smoke extract (CSE),and treated with hemin or ZnPPIX,an inductor or inhibitor of HO-1. The expression of HO-1,dual oxidase 1(Duox1),MUC5AC,epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and p-EGFR were detected. The cell viability treated with hemin or ZnPPIX was assessed by methyl thiazolyl tetrazolium method (MTT). The cells were divided into 4 groups:a negative control group,a CSE treatment group,an hemin pre-treatment group and a ZnPPIX pre-treatment group. The changes of EGFR mRNA,Duox1 mRNA,HO-1 mRNA and MUC5AC mRNA were examined by reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). The protein expression changes of Duox1,HO-1,p-EGFR and EGFR were measured by Western blot, while the protein of MUC5AC in supernate and endochylema were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Results The expression levels of MUC5AC mRNA and its protein in supernate liquid and endochylema in the CSE group were (0.660?0.044),(62.80?6.85) ?g/mg and (157.00?3.26) ?g/mg,and those of EGFR were 0.596?0.061 and 0.620?0.051,both of them increased significantly (P0.05),while the protein of p-EGFR,the mRNA and protein of EGFR,Duox1 and MUC5AC increased significantly (P
6.Effects of joint synovial fluid on tendon-bone healing of the reconstructed ligaments
Orthopedic Journal of China 2006;0(11):-
[Objective]To explore the effects of joint synovial fluid on tendon-bone healing of reconstructed ligament. [Methods]Forty female New Zealand rabbits, aged 6 months, weight 2.5~3.5 kg,were divided into 4 groups randomly.Transfer of semitendinosus tendon to the bone tunnels was performed to make bone-tendon healing model,on the right knee the bone tunnel was not communicated to the joint cavity,in contrast, the bone tunnel on the left knee was connected with synovial fluid.Animals in one group were killed at 8 weeks after operation,bone-tendon healing samples were harvested for biomechanical test.Animals in other three groups were killed at 2,4 and 8 weeks after operation respectively to harvest the samples for histological observation.HE and Masson staining were conducted to examinant histological change.[Results]At 2 weeks after operation, there was no significant difference between non joint synovial fluid group and joint synovial fluid group in bone-tendon interface healing, which were filled with granulation tissue. At 4 weeks postoperatively, interface healing in non joint synovial fluid group was obvious better than that in joint synovial fluid group.Fibroblast cells and cartilage cells increased obviously, and collagen fibers synthesized. At 8 weeks after operation,tendon-bone interface in joint synovial fluid group was filled with connective tissue, the collagen fibers arranged disorderly. In contrast, more compact collagen fibers were seen in non joint synovial fluid group.Interface cell accounts in non joint synovial fluid group were superior to that in joint synovial fluid group at 2,4,8 weeks after operation (P
7.Acoustic Reflex Growth Function in Noise Induced Hearing Loss
Journal of Audiology and Speech Pathology 2004;0(05):-
Objective To explore the effects of noise exposure on acoustic reflex growth function (ARGF).Methods 106 ears of 57 industrial workers that exposed to high level continuous noise during their work day were divided into three groups according to pure-tone threshold average (PTA): normal hearing group, mild hearing loss group and moderately severe hearing loss group. The control group consisted of 50 ears of 25 young persons with normal hearing. The contralateral acoustic reflex thresholds (ART) were obtained from all individuals.1 000 Hz pure-tone stimuli was wsed to elicit the acoustic reflex at hearing levels from ART to 125 dB in 5 dB steps during ascending intensity level runs. The growth functions were observed as changes in acoustic reactance with increases in activator-signal intensity level. Results The noise exposed groups had smaller acoustic reflex dynamic ranges, smaller acoustic reactance growth magnitudes and shallow slopes compared with those of the control group. Data showed that there were significant differences among the control and the noise exposed groups (P0.05).Conclusion The influence of noise exposure on ARGF is significant. The results of this study suggest that ARGF could be used in the monitoring of the noise-induced hearing loss as an indicator of subtle alterations of the hearing function.
8.Progress in research and application of bioactive scaffolds in bone tissue engineering
Chinese Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma 2002;0(02):-
The research on novel scaffold materials is now characterized by a transition from single element to composition, from inert materials to bioactive materials, and from macro- level to micro- level. With the rapid development of nano- technology and life sciences, the two concepts of nano- modification and biomimic construction joined the mainstream of the scaffold research. And in this field, the theory of bone generation net has been recently explored systematically and comprehensively. As a result, it has now become a research focus to obtain ideal bioactive scaffolds on the basis of current investigation. This paper highlights several types of promising scaffolds, discusses their recent research and application, and reviews the present situation concerning bioactive scaffolds
9.Development in research on relationship between statins and bone formation
Chinese Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma 2002;0(03):-
Statins may not only lower cholesterol concentration, reduce the incidence of heart diseases and relieve kidney damage, but also stimulate bone formation obviously,as suggested by a number of observation studies and animal researches. However, the exact mechanism of promoting bone formation has not been very clearly yet. Moreover, their adverse effects and their interaction with other drugs still need further clinical trials. In this review,on the basis of clinical data about the effects of hydroxymethylglutaryl-CoA(HMG-CoA)reductase inhibitors,we summarize current hypotheses on their mechanism and safety,in order to provide reference for the domestic bone reconstruction research.

Military Medical Sciences 2014;(12):994-996,999
Tumor stem cells (TSCs) are a group of cells which have self-renewal and differentiation potential in tumor tissues.TSCs not only play an important role in the occurrence and development in tumors , but also are closely related to tumors′invasion, metastasis, heterogeneity and chemo-resistance.Further research of TSCs has become a hot spot .This review intends to explain the formation of TSCs ,the relationship between TSCs and the microenvironment , as well as the model of the TSC microenvironment .Signalling pathways and regulatory factors of TSCs are also discussed .
